Without a doubt. I plan on hiking the JMT with these in August. My usual hiking shoes are dirty girl gators, but they aren't as durable as these. I tested these theories on a nighttime trail race that I ran the other day - 14 miles I was very pleased with their performance!

This pair of gaiters has pleased me quite a bit. These shoes are used mainly for running on trails where I come into contact with mud, rocks, and All of that has been kept out so far thanks to them. They can't completely prevent a deep water step, but they can help shield splashes that are thrown from one foot to the next. My hoka speedgoats don't fit as well as the other shoes (I have Altra, Hoka, La Sportiva), though my Altra shoes fit as good. I see a high level of quality in the material. Snaps do not come undone when I am running, and Velcro stays in place. The thorns on my shoes have not pulled or torn me as well as they have on mine. During my most recent snowshoeing excursion, I used these. I did not have to worry about snow getting into my boots.
The item is hard to get a feel for the sizing and effectiveness of due to its size and weight. As a reference, I wear a size 12 pair of Altra Lone Peak 4 trail shoes. I had to return these running shorts because I got them for a 100k race. Hoka Speed Goats are my go-to running shoes. I usually wear the biggest size that will fit my foot Moreover, they appeared to be too complicated for me - by the time I finished the run, I was worried that I would be fiddling with them every step of the way. A gaitor of the same size as the one pictured, size 5. My experience with their water resistance confirms their claim. Although it rained last night, my feet stayed dry save for the toe boxes exposed. What makes this product stand out is that the straps are replaceable and adjustable. My knowledge suggests that these will last you for much longer than any other gaitor. Although this product is pricey at first, replacement straps are only a couple of dollars so if you are going to be using this a lot, it is a great A final tip is to wear tall socks like darn toughs that extend over your gaiters.
