This is well worth the money
5/5

I love to hunt upland birds, and as a rule, I am out hunting most of the time in the winter when it is cold and everything is either wet or snowy. Although I always wear good waterproof boots, I usually get soaked through my lower pant legs when walking through tall grass and brush. Once it gets into your socks and further inside your boots, it creates a chain of misery that leads to the cold setting Using these lovely gaiters will prevent you from getting trampled on. As Benjamin Franklin said, "I am too poor to buy cheaply manufactured goods. ". That's why I decided to spend my money on these instead of some of the lower quality brands. I knew these would get beat up every time I wear them, and they are holding up just fine. I highly recommend these to any hunter, they are definitely worth the price.

They didn't work out the first time
3/5

The gaiters I gave a low rating did offer me plenty of value during my hunting season, despite my low rating. The first weekend of the season, I came home after the first day and the strap that goes under your boot was dangling My needle and thread had to be used to reattach it. It was fortunate that the emergency fix worked for the entire Other than this stitching issue, which is inexcusable for a product that costs well over $70, these gaiters delivered exactly what they were designed to do. Those are from the Pacific Northwest and after passing through grass, snow, scrub brush and even some blackberry vines, they did arrive at their destination. I am pleased with the material, other than the strap sewing I had an issue with after 8 days of use the Velcro that attaches to the straps has begun fraying pretty badly. The straps will likely be redeemed, and I am hoping that they could last another season, but I expect it to be a stretch. As far as size goes, I wear size 12. A pair of large gaiters was ordered. There is plenty of space between them. There are more cinchings than I had anticipated on the calf, but they still As for the medium size, I am not sure how well it will work. For those trying to determine size, I'd say that my calf size is average to slightly larger if I could return it. If I had time, I would order the medium next time. I would give them 4 stars if not for the strap completely coming apart. I believe this was a manufacturer defect. The material held up well the rest (except for the Velcro fraying into strands) and if not for the strap coming apart, I would give them 5.

The hooks were ripped out and the fit was poor
3/5

are very tight around your boots (vertically tight) and very hard to put on and take off. Compared to OR's or Kuiu brand boot gaiters, these tend to be more difficult to put on. I bought the jacket brand new for a 12-day hunt in Alaska. However, the hooks that attach to the laces of your boots to keep the front down broke off - I can no longer use it. There must be something wrong with the design and fit of this gaiter, which is why I suspect this. a decent job of shedding much of the water/dew and keeping the bottom of my pants dry, but overall they were not quite the identical quality to Kenetrek.

As a result Wouldn't it be good if I was good? This is incorrect
3/5

In terms of their intended purpose, these fail to perform as hunting gaiters. The first problem is There is a lot of noise from them. It is no use having the material be quiet if the velcro is noisy when you step on it. The second point is They are small in size. According to the size guide, I purchased mediums. I purchased mediums as that is what the guide recommended for my boot size, and the product is designed to fit over Pac As a result Wouldn't it be good if I was good? This is incorrect. I would barely be able to fit them over my Irish Setter Deer Trackers, much less actual Pac Boots. My sneakers allowed me to fit them over a pair of shoes. After walking around in them a bit, I discovered that there is often quite a bit of noise coming from the velcro. Immediately put in for a return and refund after taking them back off, packing them back in the box. It is great for spot and stalk hunting, especially from ridges - not so great for glassing from the ground. You should get something else instead. There will be a spook in the.

As you can see in the picture, the item in the picture contains a button closure at the bottom of the loden green
3/5

Those buttons won't be found on your item. There was a hook and loop closure on the parcel that arrived. Hook and loop closures are easily yanked open by wood brushes (my primary reason for purchasing contacted the company that sold me them to inquire about this but they did not respond. It is not possible to replace the hypalon strap, as someone else pointed out. Although the loden green is softer than the sage, I prefer the quieter feel of the fabric. Durability is a price to pay for that. It is unlikely I will be able to use these for more than three months. The gaiters arrived different than what's shown in the photo. I know the difference between an item I receive for $100 I will use for 3 years and something 60$ that I will use for 2 or 3 years. It was a good decision to turn down the camouflage pair because that would have been a waste of money. I would not buy them They were rendered useless in 21 days after they were received. ****UPDATE****
I found it amazing that the strap that goes around the boot wore cleanly through the sand. Besides being hard to use on rocky terrain, the straps would also wear out faster with the constant pulling. When you consider the price of those shoes, I can't believe that they only lasted that long. A pair of OR gaiters that I have owned for nearly 4 years has been used four times, and hasn't let me down Over the course of those years, they each spent six months. OR gaiters would be a great option if you are looking for a durable gaiter that will last you several seasons.

The Pac Boot will not fit
3/5

This is crucial! Gaiters fitted with these hooks are not designed to go over Pac Boots. Wearing size 10 is the norm for me. A large 9-inch boot was ordered for each pair Gaiters are 12 in number. I tried them on with my 12" pac boot and they did not When contacted Kenetrek, customer service was very friendly and helpful, but they pointed out that their gaiters are NOT designed to fit Pac Boots, but rather smaller hiking boots. Customer service told me to exchange my large size for an Xlarge because even the Xlarge would not fit since it is 23 inches in diameter in comparison to the 21 inch diameter of the large. This product may appear to be of excellent quality, however, what matters most is not the quality of the gaiter itself, but the quality of your hunting boot.

It is overrated
3/5

It seems to be overrated at least to me. It was such a thrill to receive them after I purchased them at the end of last week. After they arrived, I figured that I would put it to the test. As soon as the Velcro was pulled, the stitches on the It is unacceptable for the boot to have that kind of defect on a $50+ Italian product. I sent them back and canceled my order for According to my viewpoint, if one of their products fails, the boots that cost an arm and a leg for average people might fail as well.
Kenetrek, are your boots better than the $150 ones from Cabela's? There is no room for Sitka in the new pipeline.
