Is this going to fit a head size of 8?

No, but it all depends on who you believe in when it comes to conversion. Petzl has the largest size in the industry, at 63cm, which is only 7 7/8 hat size, with other helmets ranging from 61 to 63cm. 62cm. XXL 7 7/8 size 24 7/8 inch 63cm XXXL 8 size 25 1/8 inch 64cm

The Petzel helmet shown on arborist websites is not the same as the one shown here

I have a few Petzel Vertex helmets, and this one was a little less expensive because it didn't have the foam impact pad in the inner crown and the straps were narrower. Either Petzel has a new helmet design, or they have a knock-off. This one could be one of them. All- All in all, it meets my needs, but I'll get future helmets from an arborist supply and pay a little more for what I believe to be higher quality.

This is an excellent helmet

It is extremely cozy. able to make adjustments to ensure a proper fit I use it for logging because of the two vent holes. I'm wearing 3M ear muffs with a face screen attachment. This is a helmet that I would strongly advise.

I prefer the older style tensioner because it is more comfortable and lightweight. I'd keep my old one if it didn't prevent me from using the Sena unit, which the new style does.
