I have a few Petzel Vertex helmets, and this one was a little less expensive because it didn't have the foam impact pad in the inner crown and the straps were narrower. Either Petzel has a new helmet design, or they have a knock-off. This one could be one of them. All- All in all, it meets my needs, but I'll get future helmets from an arborist supply and pay a little more for what I believe to be higher quality.
I'm on my second purchase of a Vertex Vent. I was very pleased with the first one, which lasted several years. The design seems to have been altered for some reason. The ratchet system and the vents are both extremely difficult to operate. The first one I had was very simple and straightforward. I'm not sure why they'd make such a change.
This helmet is a fraction of the size of a standard helmet.
