It's made of open-cell foam that absorbs moisture.
I purchased one for a hard hat and it fits perfectly.
Hello, the circumference of my head is 21 inches. It is a little loose now that I have it adjusted to the smallest size. To fill in the gaps, I use a lining liner. I'm sure it'd work for you at 22" tall.
Hello, according to most motorcycle helmet fitting/sizing instructions (i.e., 57cm), my head measures 57cm. This fits me perfectly when adjusted (measured at the widest point). Most motorcycle manufacturers make a medium helmet, which I usually wear. I'm not sure how this translates to a more generic Medium-sized helmet for other uses. br>br>I hope this has been of assistance to you, mate.

I've had climbing helmets from Petzl and Camp that were twice the price and fit half as well. I own a tree service company and use this all the time. It's very comfortable and easy to adjust. I wear a beanie a lot and use the ratchet adjust a lot. I also wear a headlamp (Petzl Tikka) a lot and it fits perfectly in the strap guides. It's extremely durable, and I don't think I'll ever buy another Petzl helmet.
This hard hat is very nice. Well-made, with good padding, a good adjusting knob, and high-quality plastics and strapping. The suspension straps on the inside aren't adjustable, so it's only a four-star rating. Perhaps I have a large head, and it would be more comfortable for me if it could be adjusted to sit lower on my head. It is, however, adequate, but it could be better.
For a while, it was adequate and comfortable; why not give it five stars? br>br>Ratchet tightener is stripped; I've had this helmet for about a year, but the ratchet has been loose for a few months, and it's only gotten worse; it's now unusable. I work in the tree service, and it was fine for a while, but if it can't tighten properly on your head, it simply shifts forward and backward, which is not only inconvenient, but also dangerous.
This climbing helmet is absolutely fantastic. I'd had enough of black diamonds that didn't fit my head or didn't sit low enough. This helmet is both inexpensive and of excellent quality. It's also handy for putting on a headlamp.
I bought this for my girlfriend, who I just started climbing with. I wasn't sure if she'd go for it, so I got her this one for half the price of my Petzl Elios. If she didn't like it, I was going to return it or keep it and buy another Elios or Skywalker for her, and if she didn't want to climb, I'd have two extra helmets. This helmet, it turns out, is something she swears by. Although it appears to be a little bulky, it serves its purpose. She is adamant about not wearing any more helmets.
Because it's so light, it's my go-to. When I'm working in the woods or doing serious climbing, I switch to a different helmet.
The adjustable knob is great for keeping hats or other headgear in place, and it's light enough to wear all day. When climbing trees, it's a good idea to have a few of these. I only update if I run into issues, and I've only used it four times.
I purchased two of these for my husband's coworkers, who raved about how comfortable and light they were.
