Three days after wearing through the rubber tips, the carbide tips were exposed. The poles were functional on that trip other than that. This weekend, I went on the Joshua Tree trip and one of the pole adjustment connectors failed I have tried to make the repair with Super Glue without success. This pole folds down very small, and it packs very flat so it is easy to transport.
It was really nice to have the travel bag supplied to keep mud off the other items in the case. The products are definitely worth recommending. Almost as good as those that cost more.
The following update was posted on May 10, 20 Since last month, I have started hiking again and have started using the replacement poles that were are a lot better than what we have. In my experience I've only seen the poles contract twice when I used the regular feet. If the bottom segments of these poles had latches like the top segments then this wouldn't be an issue at all because each time I hit a rock it twists the poles. If the bottom segments had the latches like the top segments then this would not be an issue. This is the latest update as of August 29th Having spoken to the seller, I have been in touch. I received prompt service and my poles are being replaced. My new pair of shoes is now on its way. In my next review, I will update my rating after receiving and using them. While hiking, these poles really come in handy. A very serious drawback of this pack is that the third (lowest) segment collapsed on me three times during my first long hike. The way it is attached isn't stable, and the plastic piece on the end of one of the segments has.

We had a good workout using the poles since the route was full of roots and rocky terrain.
