* Hi friend, the dimensions of the Hiking Rain Fly Tent Tarp are 12x10 feet at its furthest points (the ones you can attach to string or carabiners), but it is curvy to be a lightweight and aerodynamic shelter. There are no crinkles when I set it up, and it hasn't been exposed to strong winds. It was a pleasure to work The material is thinner than a tarp, and it has a smooth, thin texture.

As a shelter cover and sun and rain cover over tents, I do not use this as a hammock cover. There were two tents covered with this material. We got wind gusts of 40 to 59 mph the second time around we were out so we were blown around for about 3 hours straight then slowed to 20 mph the third time round. Despite all this, the tarp held its own. It didn't rip, and it kept the tents in good condition. The tent stakes and guy lines that held everything in place and the tent poles that were adjustable did not move for many days. It's great to have a tarp like this. This is the tent to get if you want a strong and I mean strong easy to set up tent with good stakes and lines and it's a great price. My nephew who had his tent This shelter will be recommended to any person in need of one.
We just started hammocking, but our son who is 14 has been doing it for over three Kelty Noah Tarps are better than any we had before. He had a 12 x 12 Kelty Noah Tarp. The tents are smaller (when packed) lighter, simpler to set up and more convenient to use. A big part of his summer weight is due to the fact that he is a Boy Scout and hikes a lot. * The rain fly was easy to set up, and it provided great coverage for my hammock. Initially, my husband wasn't sure if it would be enough to cover him. The hammock he uses is 10'10 long and is perfect for his 6'4" frame. The tarp is great, keeping us dry at night when there was a lot of dew. The rain kept us dry even when it started again. I really like how the "S" hooks make the process of breaking everything down a lot easier. **We have one con with the guy lines and one con with There are too many flimsy, thin guy lines that tend to tangle easily. am planning to change them to paracord because the bags are the same material as the tarp, which makes it hard to pack the tarp and guy line into them and close them The purchase has been quite a success, and we recommend the rainfly to anybody who is interested in it.
Basically, I liked everything about it except the cord it felt cheap and chincy so I went to a store and bought some 550 paracord and upgraded the cord. Other than that, it was awesome!.
Assembly was very quick and easy for me Tiling a knot takes time, depending on how fast you're able to do it It can also be used as a sun shade for your tent (by simply tying it to trees at the I also think the free survival bracelet is awesome! With it you can light a fire even if it gets wet, you'll be amazed
Beginners & Advanced For hikers who enjoy the outdoors, this is the perfect product. You can't go wrong with this product, great value!.
For the price, this is a reliable tarp and it comes with all of the necessary The stuff sack is one thing I don't like about it. There is a coating on the sack that makes it stick to the tarp and makes stuffing it difficult. Wind and rain have both been blowing and I've used the tarp and it performed While it may not be the lightest, it is an excellent bargain for the price.
I had to buy two tent poles for it. Synced this tarp with two tent poles to make an awning for my Jeep. I was able to use it as an awning off the side of my Jeep. This is an excellent product. As well, I am looking forward to using them over my hammock.
An old tarp was torn at one of the tie out locations over the summer. As such, it's no longer of much use. Although I don't think I did anything crazy, the tension wasn't enough to force it to vibrate. It was important to find a tarp which would serve as a shelter for my overnight backpacking trip so I could bring a cheap, lightweight tarp. Due to the fact that it was just one night and I had a chronic knee injury, I needed something "good enough" and lightweight. Although there are lighter options in the market, they cost at least twice as much. * Let's talk about the good stuff first. Considering the price to weight ratio, this is a great deal. There was an extra guy line that was not required, which is nice. It came with everything we needed guy lines, aluminum stakes, carabiners, and stuff sacks. It was particularly important to me that the item was "catenary cut," so that it could be pulled tight and better withstand the high winds we experience During the evening and morning, there was a fair amount of wind, and this stayed in place nicely. There is a great deal at stake, but it is Additionally, I like that there is further reinforcement at the corners. I've had tarps with grommets rip on me in the past, but this one did just fine.
The instructions are by far the biggest con. The following is a picture of me tying out a tarp (see the attached). I have done a lot of tarp camping, and I know how to tie a few basic knots. However, this one wanted me to use both carabiners as well as tensioners as well as and extra-long guy line that's supposed to go the entire length of the tarp AND have that somehow permit me to move it but also keep it taut. Sincerely, I never got to where I was able to understand that from A wide ridgeline rope has a tensioner on either end, however the instructions give some suggestions for attaching it to carabiners for moving the tarp as well as tightening it, but without any instructions for how the tensioners are attached. Having trouble understanding these instructions, I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. In the end, I used the tarp in a traditional way. I tied a rope to each fabric loop and hung it from the roof. I didn't experience any problems there. However, there is one thing to keep in mind The guy lines are very long. It shouldn't really be viewed as a negative, but as something to keep in mind. It makes sense for something meant to be higher off the ground for something like When the tensioners were tightened all the way, I found the lines too long even for use near the ground. As a result, I made a knot in the middle and punched a hole in it with a stake.
