There may eventually be a lighter backpack, but the ones that are super lightweight come with a much higher price tag. It's somewhat heavy, so I may eventually look for one that is lighter. In spite of its weight (which I believe correlates with its sturdy quality), I am still content with it and no matter what I upgrade to, this will continue to be the foundation of my gear.

As an incoming hammock camper, I wanted to start out easy without blowing my budget. Though it was heavier than I had hoped since I often backpack, I was willing to carry the extra 15 pounds to save the extra $100 I would have had to pay Since I reside in the Pacific Northwest, staying dry is a major concern. In the four trips I have taken this tarp on since I got it in September 2019, I have not had a complaint to make. A 24 mile backpacking trip in Olympic National Forest (High Divide to Seven Lakes Basin) was the first adventure. Despite heavy rains throughout the night, the hammock kept me dry, and the tarp kept me warm and dry. During my subsequent three visits over the last few weeks, it rained quite a bit as well, but I stayed I have no complaints with the included stakes, either. The stitching is solid, the material is rugged, and the stakes are sturdy. It's definitely a good idea to get a tarp if you're new to hammocking or if you mostly car camp. Although backpacking is more weight-intensive than you might think for us weekend warriors (though thru hikers are obviously an exception), even with backpacking the extra weight isn't that much of a problem. This great tarp will save you money when compared to the cost of a nice underquilt so you can put it toward it.

The rain fly is large and the stakes are excellent. As for the bags, they are of the highest quality. It has been used five times so far and I have not encountered a problem. In the event that you do not abuse the material, it seems to last for a very long time.

There was a lot more quality at stake Today I got my hammock rainfly and set it up in the back yard. It was a cheap rainfly which was perfect for the hammock I bought it for. All aspects of this were above and beyond my expectations. It was really nice to see the stitching so well done. A good condition was found on the grommets. As a result, I was surprised at the high quality of these stakes for their price. During the day, the cordage looks almost flat, but when I got home after dark, the cords were shining so brightly in my headlights that I realized I left two cords out in the yard. The wilderness is where I cannot wait to play with it.

You can put this thing in the water and it will dry. Why would a lighter weight rainfly be of any use if it is made of The tarp I received is an absolute beast, and I am looking forward to another, awesome product from you. Upon setting up I noticed quality stitching through the corners and seams. I was impressed by the clean and precise angle and cutting, something you don't always find in budget equipment. This was a great addition! The stakes were strong and light, and the cordage included was reflective, which made it extra awesome! When I bought a roll, I expected I would have to change it but I was pleasantly surprised to find that After everything was set up, I was able to put it back into the bag and set it all up for a quick deployment. However, I must point out that the stuff sack when you roll this up can be a little small, and to be honest, you won't get the right roll up if it's raining or you're rushing, but overall it's not something to worry about. A highly recommended product as it provides great coverage and includes accessories that match the product and not cheap knock-offs. My second hammock will be complete with another hammock thanks to this superb product.

As opposed to what was advertised, the actual measurement of the ridgeline is 11' 7" instead of 12'. In the case of goods made overseas, it appears to be fairly typical and deliberate. For the price, 210D SilNylon is easier to come by as it is much more expensive than SilPoly. A 210D option would cost three times more. In other words, after it has been wet, it tends to loosen up a bit. In the end I think it's one of the better tarps for the money. There seems to be only one color choice. As part of my changes, I have chosen to replace all Guy Lines and the ridgeline with Lawson GloWire, as well as adding MSR Mini Grounhogs and using old tent poles for porch camping. It does not come with center tie outs, so you'd have to sew your own if that is important to you. It is possible to use original stakes as long as they have orange line to cling to or tie off of, but the aluminum will bend fairly easily out of soft soil unless they are placed with a wooden stake in it. In my opinion, the original Guy Line is usable and reflective, which is nice, but probably will not last long on the trail so make sure you have some back up. I ran two sprinklers on it for several hours, even with the wind howling, and it passed all the tests. I measured 36 x 12 x 1. It does sag a bit when wet, but that's normal for SilNylon. It dried out just fine.

For my investment, it was 36 x 12 x 1. The tarp costs 99 cents and the tarp A Guy Line for $22 is available in the gift shop. The setup I have is pretty nice, I have 00 stakes. I replaced a few items that were not that much lighter than original, but I know the new ones Sometime in the near future I will buy another one if the taped seams hold up. Should it not be possible, I will purchase a SilPoly Warbonnet.

I am happy with the results so far. My set up was set up in my backyard. I had it up for a whole week as it rained. I didn't need to read any instructions because it was pretty easy to set up. I did not have to worry about wet hammocks. There is a small bag that the stakes are stored in, so the tarp does not.
