When I was back packing, I bought 2 of these for hammock camping. My gear is never new when I go out on the trail, so I set it up for over a week over on my property, in the woods on the top of a hill. There was extreme weather during that period with high wind gusts exceeding 30 mph and 5 inches of rain. A stake was completely ripped out of the ground due to the strong wind. All five tent stakes were driven into the ground at the first string notch with the first hammer blow, which is about 75% into the ground. It was just like new when I found it. There was no damage to the hammock, and it stayed dry as a bone. A terrific tarp rain fly for a great price. I am thrilled with the quality, compactness, and weight.
