It comes empty, so make sure you get some butane to fill it up.
This was given to me as a birthday present in January. Since then, I've only had to re-fill it once. So let's say 20. 30+ ish. When we go to cigar lounges, we see other people using it.
Mine would light up, but not for long enough to light a match.
Bottom of the page. The dial for flame adjustment is also located where you fill up the lighter with fuel.

So this lighter has been in my possession for about a month. I consider myself to be a cigar connoisseur. I've smoked a lot as part of my training. This is why all of these reviews are valid: Yes, the lighter is functional, but it is not without flaws. I've been able to solve these issues by doing one or more of the following, or a combination of them: br>br>1) Filling it with gas, even if I've just done so. It appears to be running out frequently at times. I fill it up before going to the cigar bar, I use it, I watch my friends use it, and it still works fine the next day. It's not going to turn on. This is usually resolved by filling it up again. However; br>br>2) If solution 1 fails, I mess around with the flame adjuster. I've discovered that the sweet spot is somewhere between half and full. But what happens if that doesn't work? br>br>3) Let out some of the air that may be trapped inside. I do this by using one of those tiny screwdrivers (can't remember what they're called) to press down on the fuel valve. I do this for a half or full second (imagine one-second). Everything is fine in Mississippi. br>br>I realize you've got a lot on your plate. The majority of people, understandably, want their lighter to work on the first flick every time, and some do. A two-in-one lighter is my back-up lighter. Unless the fluid is out, the flamer always works. I bought it in a shop for $5. This lighter, which costs $6, doesn't perform as well as the others, but I manage to make it work. I hope you found this information useful.
Unfortunately, I have had a negative experience with this otherwise impressive-looking lighter. br>From the start, The thing won't light consistently, so I'm getting rid of it. There's no way of knowing how much butane fluid is in the chamber, and even if it does, lighting it is difficult. After catching fire, it grew to be far too large at times. And it appeared that the fluid was depleting far too quickly. br>After a few days of frustration, I'm seriously considering returning to the drawing board and trying something new.
I wish I could give it a higher rating, but I'm afraid I won't be able to. It looks great, and I like the built-in punch, but the flame was very low for the few times it actually worked. It worked maybe four or five times before it stopped working completely. I even took it to my local cigar lounge to have it looked at (thinking I was misusing it or not filling it correctly), but they said it was just faulty and that they couldn't get it to light either. It looks great, but it doesn't work at all.
As a result, my cigars burn evenly and consistently. You might prefer to use matches or cedar if you're an old soul. That's fine, but this little one also aids in the sealing of those lovely Churchills I adore. This lighter produces a clean light, and any cigar enthusiast knows that cheap lighters are bad for cigars and their flavor. If all you want is the natural flavor of the cigar and nothing else, this lighter is for you. Perhaps you enjoy a good Cohiba or Rocky Patel, in which case this lighter provides a quick and easy burn, as well as a cigar punch. There's no need to be concerned about removing too much cap and risking your little slice of heaven unraveling. Plus, let's face it, it's pretty cool! My cigarette companions wanted to use it as soon as I pulled it out. No, sir, this baby is only for a full-flavored Toro or a rich Java. A filthy cigarette is not allowed! You will not be disappointed if you purchase one.
Don't be taken in by this ruse. I had this lighter for about three weeks and had no problems with it, but then it stopped working. I charged it for the third time, and it completely failed. It basically blew up in my hand, so there's that. I now believe the negative reviews I've read. I didn't pay attention to the customer complaints or reviews. Ya. Remove yourself from the situation. After returning the product, I was promised a "new one," which I have yet to receive, and if it fails again, I will never buy this product again. I returned a DEFECTIVE lighter and have yet to receive a replacement, despite Amazon's promise, and have received no updates! Period. Do not put your faith in anyone. Do not make a purchase. Trust me.
First and foremost, this is how I store real cigars. It appeals to me, and it has a pleasant feel to it, but it is slick. The flames and refilling have been extremely effective. My cigars are easily lit with the torch. One problem is that I never know when I'll run out of lighters, so I either have to carry two lighters or keep refilling, which I won't do. The price is very good, but there are others with better cigar lighting convenience for the same price. The torch cover part raises up and stays up towards you when you open it. Which is still very useful, but it irritates me and makes me think I'll hit it (even though I never did). The hole puncher isn't in the best possible location. If you put your cigar against the lighter by accident, it may be damaged. These are considerations I didn't consider until I received it. br>br>This lighter is not one I would recommend. It gets the job done and does it well, but there are better ones out there with better hole puncher placement and fuel gauges.
I purchased this lighter directly from Mr. Brog's website about three years ago, and it has served me well ever since. I recently wanted to purchase a replacement because mine has become damaged, and I noticed that they are available on Amazon as well. br>br>Well, I've purchased and returned four items. I bought five of these lighters from Amazon, and each one was defective. It didn't matter if it was a positive or negative experience. I had to give up at some point, whether it was a working lighting mechanism, a non-working one, a gas leak, or a plain old used lighter.
4 years of use for a low price! 4 years later, the following is an update: Even after all these years, it's still a fantastic and potent triple-threat Lighter in the head! br>br>Based on some of the reviews, I expected this thing to work for a few months and then stop working. But I'm in desperate need of a torch lighter because my other one was stolen by some Nimrod. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this bad boy runs perfectly well on a full tank of gas, despite the fact that I probably lit it 15 times and it took almost three weeks to refill it. If you want a low-cost but high-quality triple-head torch lighter, this is the one to get.
