The battery is not connected to the belt clip. It is affixed to the radio's main body. The batteries are held in place by the clip.
Although I don't believe Baofeng specifies this, I can provide you with some information based on my own personal experience. I have two of the BF-series. Both the F8HP and the BL-100 are powered by the BL-100. There are five batteries total. I've turned them off/powered them down on several occasions. down for about 15 minutes After three months, they still showed a full charge on the power meter. They were working normally at full power up by the radio meters. So the 80% level is an unknown, in my opinion.
Yes, they are capable of cooperating. thanks.

the- With the stock antenna, the distance between the box and the receiver is about a mile. When the GF and I go grocery shopping, we use it to communicate. She isn't a ham, so we only use GMRS frequencies, which is an under-utilized resource. In the suburbs of South Jersey, I used the service. I upgraded to 3800mAh batteries and two speaker/mics as a result. I plan to buy another HT from baofong, as well as a battery eliminator that will only be used in the car. There are a few minor flaws: This unit does not have a CONVENIENT car charger. If you want to charge it in the car, you'll have to bring the charging cradle with you, which can be a hassle. Baofong also claims that if the device is left on while in the cradle, it will not charge. These were minor flaws in my opinion. For the money, it's a great deal.
My radio is a perfect match. I ordered two so that I would have some spares. It's nice and charged, and it's a good fit. I recommend ordering from Amazon because I had a bad experience with the "other" major online retailer recently. Amazon. com has never let me down when it comes to product quality or customer service.
They last a long time, fit in standard military radio pouches, and the best part is that you can charge them directly without the need for the base. The plug that connects to the base can also be used to connect to the battery. Keeps me on my toes Make your kit leaner by squeezing it into a smaller bag.
When compared to standard, the 3800 mah battery provides more talk time. The radio comes with a 1300 mAh battery.
When connected to a radio, it makes a wiggle noise. UPDATE: I've given it a one-star rating. These batteries don't fit snugly and frequently lose contact with the radio, causing it to restart. It's also impossible to use the device in your hand because it constantly wiggles the battery, making it impossible to use. You've missed a few seconds of a conversation because the radio beeps and the message "connected" sounds, and it just keeps happening and happening. in the middle of a conversation These will be disposed of in the lithium battery dumpster at LOWES. br>************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** I noticed the battery was loosely moving around when I first started playing with the device. I requested a return/exchange so that new ones could be sent out that might fit better. br>br>I just received them today. They're a little sloppy as well. They're not quite as loose as the first ones, but they still wiggle. The radio's battery is snug and tight and does not wiggle around, so it will most likely be returned.
The radio's stock battery only lasts a few hours of continuous use, which is inconvenient when there is no cell service available during a disaster (we're civilian first responders). This battery adds very little bulk (only the bottom, which makes holding the radio a little easier) and lasts more than a day when fully charged. As of this writing, it is well worth the money; I'm going to see how long the battery will last.
Only one battery came close to fitting perfectly. This indicates to me that "quality control" is either absent or severely deficient. I learned something new about these batteries, as well as other "spare" or "replacement" batteries for this and most other Chinese-made brands. The reason you can't find or only find a limited supply is because shipping batteries internationally costs the manufacturer an exorbitant amount of money unless they're attached to or included with the device for which they were designed or something similar. That's why they tell you to just order another radio to get a new battery, according to the representative who responded to my email. Although it appears absurd to me, that is the line I was given. DON'T BUY THESE BATTERIES FROM THIS MANUFACTURER, in my opinion.
The small battery pack that comes with the baofeng can be replaced with these.
