This battery can be left unused for up to 30 days and still be charged to nearly full capacity. In a Baofeng UV-C lamp, it also provides long-term operation power. The 5R transceiver is a small hand-held radio.
I recently discovered my radio, which had been hidden for four years. I ordered this because the battery was quickly draining. br>This is a Beofeng Original Equipment Manufacturer battery. Some reviewers were given a non-recommended rating. battery with a logo The one I got is either a genuine OEM or a fantastic knock-off. off! br>In any case, it's fantastic and keeps me entertained.
My UV-protective clothing was purchased. Unfortunately, we were unaware that the A series has a slightly different shape than the standard UV-A series when we purchased 5RA as part of a group purchase. Parts can be difficult to come by in 5R, so it can be a pain. This battery is a perfect fit for the A series and charges quickly.
It's the same capacity as the stock battery that came with my radio. After measuring some of the extended 3800mAh batteries, I decided to order this one. The two 3800 batteries I had only had a capacity of 2200mAh each. On a Thunder AC6 charger, I took measurements. If they were only slightly more capacious than the stock battery, I decided the extra size wasn't worth it. br>br>This battery had a capacity of 1400mAh. Although it was not the 1800 described, I didn't expect the rating to be completely accurate, and since this spare matched the one that came with my radio, I gave it four stars. This spare battery, as well as a new battery that came with the radio, were both measured. Amazon shipped and sold the radio as well as this spare part.
This battery is currently being used as a standby (i. e. second) a battery pack for my Baofeng UV-LED flashlight A handheld amateur radio transceiver with the model number 5R. I especially like being able to charge one pack while using another, avoiding having to cut a contact short due to a weakening or dead battery. I now have two of these rechargeable batteries, so my radio will continue to work no matter how low the battery is.
My Baofeng UV5r charger, which I purchased in 2012, does not charge it. However, it charges quickly on my Baofeng uv5r charger, which was purchased in 2020. br>It was aggravating until I realized what was going on. I don't believe my older charger is broken, but I'll let you know if I find out. I've noticed that the 2012 charger has three contacts, whereas the 2020 charger has only two.
" This isn't a genuine Baofeng battery! Because it's slightly larger on the backside of the battery than my actual original battery, which has "Baofeng" stamped on the back and grooves down the sides (both of which this one lacks), it won't fit very well and will take a lot of effort to "click" in. )br>br>It came charged and will work after a little fiddling and a lot of pushing to get it to click in. br>However, if I can figure out how, I'll probably have to "shave" some plastic here and there. I suppose I got what I paid for. br>br>I suppose I got what I paid for. KK4VLR, 73, br>br>73, br>br>73, br>br>73, br>br>73, br>br>73.
I put this battery on the charger as soon as I got it. It appeared to be charging, but no matter how long I left it on the charger, the charge light would not show that it was fully charged. The radio only lasted 15 minutes on FM radio after 12 hours of charging. Don't throw your money away. I wish I had just bought a new radio for $24 with the battery included instead of wasting $10 on a dead battery.
