I realize this is an old thread, but based on what I've learned, the "real" BL- Most of us are looking for something in the 5L range. It's based on the "UV-" technology. It belongs to the "5R" family and has a capacity of 3800mAh. Unfortunately, there are a lot of clones out there that aren't physically (though they can be easily modded) or electrically (they won't charge) compatible with the latest generation models in the "UV-compatible" category. It's causing me a great deal of discomfort. Yes, this extended battery pack for my Baofeng UV-C camera is for my Baofeng UV-C camera. br>br> The thickness of the 5R hand-held is excellent, as it fits the radio without sticking out anywhere, making it not too thick in the hand, and it also fits in the BaoFeng charger, making it spot-on. on there. *ahem

They are lighter than original 1800mah batteries! The cost should've been the first red flag. The fact that the reviews were written by VERIFIED PURCHASERS, with no real or avatar names, was the second big clue. br>If you don't see real names on the reviews, you should avoid buying the product.
On the Baofeng UV-C, there are a lot of options. It's no secret that finding accessories for your specific model can be difficult. For the UV-C light, I ordered two of these batteries. 5RE (also known as UV-C) is a fluorescent dye that is used in the production of ultraviolet light. 5R Plus), and neither of them seemed to fit quite right, as one might expect. A razor blade or a small file could have also been used to complete the task. br>br>I'm giving this 5 stars even though I had to modify it because I purchased it fully expecting to have to modify it based on reviews of similar batteries purchased for other radios in the line, and the combination of 1) my expectations, 2) the ease of modification, and 3) the price makes this a purchase I'm glad I made.
5R fit like a glove and snapped into place with ease! Like the shorter OEM batteries that came with the units, they fit snugly and become an integral part of the radio. They give you more battery life and give you more length. They can also keep their balance on a table without falling over. They make the radios function as if they were commercial radios. There are no changes to make. I would strongly suggest it!.
This wasn't a perfect match for my Baofeng UV-C lamp. 5RA+. br>In order for the battery to fit properly, I had to trim the plastic near the front base of the curved portion (see photos) by 1/16". The battery performed as expected after I made this change. I'll go back and smooth out the cuts to make it look better, but it's functional for now! This is something I would recommend to anyone who enjoys their Baofeng radio!.
What I want is a battery that I can hold in my large hand, one that has more power and is more comfortable to hold. I dropped my Baofeng with a standard battery and it damaged the radio; I'm keeping the battery on with a heavy rubber band, but I'll be able to hold the other radio much more easily with this new battery. It will make a difference whether you're on the trail or in camp.
The fit and finish were comparable to that of the Beofeng UV-1000. A 5R radio and a standard battery pack are included. I was initially very excited because there were no signs of a cheap knockoff label or quality. Then I realized these suckers wouldn't fully seat on the radio (the latch on the battery wouldn't fully engage the notch) and wouldn't stay in place. Everything else appeared to be in working order; the batteries were fully charged, and the radio was operational. Fortunately, I always use duct tape and a sharpie to label my squakies. Just made sure to secure the batteries on the sides with a little more tape to keep it in place. Was it necessary for me to do so? I'd prefer they worked out the box, but the problem was easily solved. If you don't want to use tape on your radio, I suppose you could use a glue gun instead. I'll buy more in the future, even if they don't fit properly.
It's great because it makes the radio large enough to hold and operate the keypad without it falling over. Plus, it just looks "cool," as you'd expect from a HT. Monitoring, the radio will last three to four days on a single charge. It takes a LONG time to run down the battery to do the "recommended charging cycle" (I only did it ONCE because it was too much trouble to discharge all six batteries), but it charges without issue overnight. I own four UV-protected sunglasses. With these batteries, 5R's and two are used as a repeater on High Power and haven't run out of power yet. Every other day, the battery is recharged. During the charging cycle, a standard battery was used. As others have mentioned, there are no issues with shipping or "Fit," and I replace batteries with any UV-powered device. Without a hitch, a 5R.
