Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell me how the high setting (190 lumens) performs? When that level is being played, would it really last five hours?

I'd say maybe 1 or 2 Lights up at 190 lumens for 25 hours. Overall, I think the rated output chart is pretty accurate in other respects. (It might have been. The duration is five hours).

The batteries are Battery life for rechargeable batteries is typically 2 years of frequent use before the battery hardly holds a Is there any way to replace this?

It is not possible to purchase batteries for - from Nitecore As a result- There is no way to replace the headlamp on their website.

If I need to use batteries with this headlamp, can I do so?

Although this lamp will not automatically charge from a USB source, unlike many others, it does work on external power. Then grab a small USB power bank and a lightweight bluetooth device if you need a long runtime Just use an angle-friendly USB cable and you will be good to go for as long as your power bank lasts. You should make sure you have the right-sized car An angle USB cable is necessary since the USB plug is located on the bottom of the Using that method, you can route the cable in a streamlined way without fear of it dangling below your head. This headlamp should run on the smallest powerbank for quite a while, so you could probably even get it on one of those lipstick power banks. Power banks in this size would give individuals many more hours of battery life than they really

How do I know when it's time to recharge?

As I have not watched closely, it seems to take around an hour or two, depending on how depleted the tank The program has been very useful to me and I recommend it highly. In my experience, it has never died after working after dark for hours.

It is a great headlamp, but the specs are misleading on both the Despite its ability to produce 360 lumens for 30 seconds, it is only able to work for 30 seconds
4/5

The headlamp you see there isn't a 360 Lumen model. The lamp produces 190 lumens and is capable of short bursts of 360 lumens in "Turbo Mode" before stepping down in 30 seconds to prevent Aside from its 1 oz weight, the lamp is just as thin as a pen. In addition, if you want to tie it up with a light string, there won't be much added to the weight. However, it's likely that you will want to wear a headband which will add to the complexity. A pound and a half. A total of 53 grams made up of 1 gram of fat. A pound and a half. To ensure that consumers know what they are receiving, that is something that should be made clear to them. In closing, I want to say There is no other headlamp better suited for lightweight backpacking than this one. The pattern of the beam has proven to be the perfect for hiking at night. You will not have any difficulties on the trail due to the light's 190 lumens. In camps, the white auxiliary light provides a wider beam that is helpful for lighting the peripherals. While not as bright as you might expect, it's okay for cooking and reading You have chores to do at camp. As a night vision preservation expert, I use red light a lot and I appreciate that it offers two levels of brightness. It features a lockout function as well as a flashing red light and an indicator of battery strength. It's not my fault that the marketing for this headlamp is misleading. I really like it for lightweight backpacking. It is true that the information provided is true, however what you're not told makes the information that is provided It would be nice if the specs included that 360 lumens is only for 30 sec bursts and that the weight with the headband doubles. They've got a great product, but the specifications need to be spelled out clearly.

This is the perfect light for your backpack, your car, or simply for Petzl is crushed
5/5

Since I had my first Petzl headlamp about a decade ago, I loved it. Several weeks ago, I decided to buy both a Petzl Actik Core ($70, model E99ABB) and this Nitecore NU25 at a fraction of the price. My jaw dropped when I saw how much better There is a need for Petzl to Comparing the NU 25 to the Petzl The following *br Price is half of what it should be*br/>- The lightweight and compact design allows it to be used more frequently (important for prolonged This is a more water-resistant type of product*- It has the ability to light up even while plugged in. always have a power bank with me when hiking, so this is a great backup. I* if B) You don't have to open the case to find out the charges - With a CRI light, you can get a pleasant reading experience, and the Petzl flashlight doesn't use a white flash). Many people will see this as a negative or a double-edged sword The opposite is also true, as that means reading and fiddling around to get to all those other functions can be quite troublesome. The following *br An indicator of battery level can be found on the battery. In addition to having a lockout switch, the lamp runs at different lumens when it is in low, medium, or high power modes. Therefore it is difficult to compare run times. In my main activity, I hike, which I find comfortable at distances of about 100-150m During the night, this lamp emits 200 lumens. On the Petzel, that would be medium (100 lm at 7 hours) and high (190 lm at 5 hours) for the NU25. Do you want more light or to have a little less runtime? It's hard to say, but I'll agree that both are acceptable for my needs. If you turn too high on the Petzl, the light is insanely bright at 350 lumens, but it only lasts two hours. Bright enough to be blinded but too bright for continuously riding a mountain bike. It is only when I am searching for lost keys or trying to locate what made a noisy noise in the woods that I want to have such an illumination. When the chore needs to be done quickly, the NU25 will still deliver with "turbo mode" at 360 lumens, although it is limited to 30 seconds for safety reasons (and it would burn through the battery rapidly). In reference to Pottl Actik Core  .

An excellent lamp that is lightweight, bright, and very affordable
4/5

I EDITED My rating has been raised to four stars as of October 2019. It had been discharging without cause for a while now, but now after quite a few charge cycles, it has stopped doing so. Sadly, this happened to me nearly a year ago, and I was unable to update this review until nearly a year after it stopped discharging. I have been using this light for the past year, and it has been great and reliable. Every time I have the opportunity, I carry a spare lamp that operates on batteries as a backup, but it has never been needed so far. I am proud to present the following original review
I received this lamp in the middle of August. I find it to be pretty bright, as well as incredibly intuitive using. All things considered, a decent battery would be nice. There is a good chance that if you leave the headlamp on for a long period of time that it will nearly discharge itself. Bottom line is that you must charge this lamp immediately before using it to ensure it is fully charged It is very easy to charge, with just a simple USB micro-connection of any type, but my lamp must stay plugged into an outlet or next to one all of the time. The problem with packing this thing is that it will not be ready to use when you open it Having to babysit is a lot of work. In so far as I'd recommend stashing it in your backpack or vehicle for "sometime", it's not the lamp I'd recommend you stash there. There's nothing I don't like about this lamp, it's really light and bright, but the power problem is a bit of a snag.
