Most headlamps are compared by their burn time at their lowest setting (but not to the red setting), which is listed at 200 hours for this model. *br> *br>The full burn time specifications are given as follows The following *br I can't believe I've spent the last five hours like this! (ANSI FL1) low hours of training -* Please keep an eye on the 42-hour reserve, as any time you reserve may be affected by the kind of batteries you use. *br> *br>These numbers were determined using standard methods that include specific battery types, so your own results may vary. When you use rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, you might find that you get less burn time The use of rechargeable batteries instead of disposable alkalines It is much easier to bring a set, or even two or three sets, of your rechargeable batteries, even if they cost significantly less - and you also avoid wasting countless batteries if you used alkaline batteries just to get a few extra hours out of them. Likewise, the difference in burn time is of no significance on short trips.

I like it quite a bit. A great way for going out into the dark to check on the animals. (Plus, my husband has been walking my dog inside with mine. My car is red, so now he won't be able to use mine.
It is also great if you need to check under the hood of your vehicle.
My usual method of carrying and using a flashlight is to carry a handheld one.
A good thing about this light is its multiple colors. I purchased this headlight primarily because of the Red, Blue, and Green lights. For spotting raccoons in the trees, I use it to spot them on the trails. They are more likely to look at the Red and Green lights rather than the bright and dim white lights because their eyes are light sensitive and the colored lights are easier on their vision than the white ones and will reflect their attention to you more than the white ones will cover it up.
The headlamp I replaced my old one with is this one. We were delighted to have colored LEDs, as this helped to keep flying insects from being attracted to the 2 nights in a tent camping trip using this product. The issue is not an issue.
This is something I have used in the mountains, for jogging in the early mornings and it works perfectly well. The battery indicator is helpful and the light is exceptionally powerful and it is very lightweight.
The lamp takes 4 AAA batteries, so it's a little bigger and weightier than other lamps, but it's very bright (just for your information).
Our camping trips will be much more enjoyable now that we have it!.
Certainly one of the coolest lights I have ever seen. An excellent head lamp like this one is certainly worth considering if you're on the lookout for one.
