This is meant to be a "key ring" tool, but it could just as easily be a boat anchor. It's large and heavy for a device with only four small tools and a small flashlight. Based on the pictures on Amazon, I had no idea. I've included a photo of this device as well as a photo of my debit card for size comparison.
The side profile of this item is not shown in any of the photos, but it is quite thick. In my opinion, it's too big for a keychain. Take a look at the photos from other reviewers to get an idea of just how big this is. Another issue I had was that the sides appear to be made of plastic rather than aluminum, as shown in the photos. br>br>The bottle opener is ineffective when it comes to opening bottles. It only works if you pry the cap off from a variety of angles. The lighting is dim. br>br> It's almost as if there's no need for a light. It's also not very serviceable. br>br> When I disassembled it to see if I could replace the batteries, several small plastic and metal rings/buttons fell out. I was stumped as to how to re-create the scene. Put it together.
I have a job where I need basic tools all of the time. This seemed like a good substitute for a leatherman's tool, but it's not something I'd use on a regular basis. type of thing to use It's too big to fit in a pocket and too heavy to wear on a belt, and the tools themselves aren't big enough to do real work. This is more of a car or emergency kit item. when you'd only use it if it was absolutely necessary.
Because it's DURABLE, it's a little heavier than most. Every tool performs admirably. The blade of the knife is extremely sharp. The flashlight is only bright enough for close-up work, not for navigating in the dark. br>br>I like mine a lot, and I read a lot of reviews on a lot of different multi-player games. I'm glad I chose this one as my tool keychain device. I even bought one for my girlfriend, who adores it.
How often have we required the use of a screwdriver for a minor task? Or perhaps a small knife, or one of the other tools on this tool? This is fantastic. It eliminates the need to rummage through your toolbox or pull out your multitool. Two of them were purchased. One is kept by my bedside on the end table for any last-minute tasks, and the other is clipped to my jacket. It's sturdy and convenient, and it's already proven to be useful. It's a little bulkier than I'd like, but given that it has a light, it's worth the extra weight!.
The keychain is finished off with an LED light. For a little less than three years, this was my daily keychain, but the glue on one of the covers had worn out, and it came loose. The light was still on and I had a lot of fun with it. A Wisconsinite should never leave home without a bottle opener, and this will suffice (I joke)br>It isn't the easiest bottle opener in the world, but it will get the job done. br>The small blade got a lot of use opening boxes and mail, and it was always handy. The phillips and regular screwdrivers didn't get much use, but it was nice to have them on hand just in case.
Externally, the key chain appears to be as described. The batteries, on the other hand, were dead when they arrived. If you need to replace the batteries, be careful. After the pieces have fallen out, have fun putting the puzzle together. Two lithium batteries are mentioned in the advertisement. There are four people in my mine. When I looked online for battery replacement instructions, I only found one that covered two batteries. I finally located the missing pieces, organized the puzzle, and purchased additional batteries, and it now functions properly. I like how it looks, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for just replacing the battery.
returning it to you It broke the first time I used it. I needed to cut a piece of cardboard and thought to myself, "Great, let's try out this new tool. " When I yanked the knife open, the super dull blade dragged across the counter and bent backwards. It will no longer close, and the knife will protrude dangerously. I'm hoping to get my money back because it was a waste of money.
