It is just a guess, but I believe that 46009 is the clam, In the time of this writing, I am recommending the 06009 box version, since it is about $5 cheaper than the 46009 clam version. If there is some special reason you want the 46009 clam version, I would suggest

Several years ago, I owned one of these knives (06009 or 46009), but I lost it and wanted a replacement so I checked This replacement knife was a small version (06050 or 46050) and is not what I had hoped for, though it is a nice knife - but it was very small and could be confusing for someone with a large hand. Because of the Amazon photograph, it was impossible to determine the size. * I went back to Amazon and found the full-size version there. Despite being the same size, there were two different models with different catalog numbers and Because I did not know for certain that two knives were different, I ordered both. Even though they came in different packages, they are the same. Knives with this feel are a pleasure to open and close. The knives are light in weight and easy to handle. This is a very nice item to always have in your pocket. The knives are already "sharp" out of the box, but have been sharpened on a very rough grinder for improved precision after use. Smooth the primary bevel with stones and set a secondary edge even smoother, and you will have a knife with a true edge.
I enjoyed having it in my hand, since it opened quickly with a thumb stud, had smooth, rounded edges and As I pulled it out of my pocket or from my pocket, I was able to open it easily. What caused Gerber to discontinue it is a mystery to me. I find the LST and smaller LST ultralight very stiff and hard-edged, as well as uncomfortable to wear. The two of them are - There are definitely people who can open doors with their hands. Especially this one has sharp edges and is fairly long in the pocket. Even with thin pants, it is fairly visible because it is thin and light. There's nothing wrong with the blade I don't consider that to be a negative as it's thin and not meant to do hard work The plan was not to use it that way. It will be returned to me, however. In order to be a genuine EDC, I need a small bag that is barely visible when worn with trousers that I wear for work, and something that is easily opened with a single hand Written by hand. In search of the perfect office EDC, I'm still trying to find it. According to what I am reading, the spyderco Cat might be just what you need Due to the fact that I have lost several EDC knives, I'm not sure I want to spend $60 on it. You can do better than this if you don't care about visibility in thin pants. Take a look at the Ontario Rat 2 or the CRKT Pilar (it's heavy and thick, but that one is okay). Alternatively, if you don't care about having your everyday knife priced in the $60 range, check out the Cat and let me know what you think.
An exceptionally thin knife, resin handle with a small carbon steel blade, drilled in the handle for a chain. It can fit in a pocket surprisingly easily, making it a good choice for someone who wears dress pants regularly. In the pocket of my jeans there is always a small knife, so I use the handy drilled handle to insert a three-inch knife A snake on a lanyard of two inches Paracord knotted into a spiral I'll keep a cord with it to help me find it in my pocket and avoid losing Steel is good for sharpening since it is easy to do. Oregon is the place where it is made. It is not clear if the steel is American, but if it is not, it is still a That wasn't too expensive I think I paid less than 19 dollars for it. There are a few I bought It is a good idea to give them as Considering that I don't carve wood, it may be speaking out of school when I say that it's a lightweight knife, not suitable for rough work, but it's the best lightweight knife I've used. There are a number of things it can do, such as sharpen pencils, clean fingernails, carve apples, or skin snakes.
They are great for daily carry. The bags are great to carry around on a daily basis. Despite being thin and light, they are actually quite heavy. The knife can be carried in your pocket without anyone noticing it.
The handle is very thin and almost does not feel substantial. It feels lightweight to me, which I do not particularly like. The handle, on the other hand, was designed exclusively for utility, and it achieves that objective. It is made from a synthetic material that allows for a secure grip without sacrificing durability. The knife was very sharp when it arrived, and my experience with this model suggests that it is very easy to keep it razor sharp with just minor would consider this a good urban carry utility knife, since it is suitable for use around the house, office, and yard. However, it would probably be too small to be an effective hunting, camping, farming, or construction main knife. Although it may not be a durable enough backup knife to keep in your pocket all the time, it is probably sturdy enough.
Whether I am dressing up or doing my work with it, this is my favorite knife. Sturdy, slim, and light in weight. An edge can be sharpened easily and held for a long time. It has not been possible to find anything comparable to this knife and I have tried several. I recommend you buy several just in case they stop making this knife. Because it is so light, you will forget it is in your pocket and you will lose it in the washing! It's a little deeper and longer than these and I have a couple of Gerber 500 knives that were given to me by my employer. They have a much better, solid feel, and the blade is 1/4" longer As far as I could tell, this was the closest thing. Usually, manufacturers find a way to engineer out the quality in their products, but this is not the case this time.
I use this knife as my everyday carry, as it is lightweight and thin, and fits comfortably into I have enjoyed the folding and locking action, as well as the sharpness of the blade that has been maintained with occasional use over the past My son is learning knife safety in Cub Scouts, so I'll probably buy a few more for myself and him.
This Schrade is replacing one with a very easily broken blade tip that originally came with it. Although I realize that it's not a prybar, The only force needed was a small amount of force on the stuck piece of plastic & As the Schrade went tink, it went Please provide the following information Size and Height Both are approximately the same weight. While the blade on the Gerber is thinner and still very sharp, it is also thicker.
