Questions & Answers

What viruses is this supposed to filter?

It is stated in their literature that they filter through 0th power. 1/100 of a micron is 10 nanometers (10 billionths In my research, I discovered that viruses vary in size from 20 to 400 nanometers. The smallest virus would have to fit through a hole that is twice as large as it is! It is probably not totally impossible for viruses to get through however, it might be possible if the filter was very small and constricted, or if there was a minor defect with the structure, so that might be why they are not claiming the filter is totally useless.

The literature you provided states that this product removes contaminants from fresh water. How about ponds with algae in them and swimming pools with algae growth?

In the context of fresh water, any source not containing salt is considered fresh. This is *br0. A micron can remove a lot of things, This will eliminate chlorine from the water.
Use a floater to place the intake hose below the algae. As far as I'm concerned, I would trust this filter in almost any fresh water source, except for a pool of nothing but chemicals.

The "ultra filter" is simply another term for hollow-core How does a fiber membrane filter work? What is the material in an "uf" if it is not plastic?

Dear VL, thank you for submitting the It's true that you can call the Ultra Filter a hollow-head filter Fiber membrane filters and all our ultra filters, which can be backwashed up to 100,000 liters each, are made from the most durable polymer material of any ultra filter available, Polysulfone - the same material used on the visors of the Apollo astronauts. Its uniqueness lies in its dual Ultra Filters, which can be hollowed out to add even more power. It is a membrane filter made from fibers. In the beginning, before Water is filtered at 0 ppm, or minus one part per million. This filter has a micron size of only 1 Micron and can be back washed in the field, which will prolong the lifespan of the internal filter. Details of how to do this are provided in our instructions. In addition to the second digit, there is a zero as well. A Hollof fiber membranes filter or a 0.1 micron UF filter is recommended. Additionally, a replaceable carbon filter is installed to help remove heavy metals and chemicals from the water as well as enhance taste and odor.

Is it only capable of producing water?

Kenny, the device is actually designed to filter fresh water found in lakes, rivers, and streams, as well as drinking water from the The ultrasmall micron pore size of this material The best possible outcomes are 0.1 Micron) and carbon or cotton filters. If you attempted to filter another drink it would probably take out the colorant and leave only water. That should be of some help.

It transformed the water in the pond, a habitat for wildlife, into clean, potable drinking There is no real downside to using this filter - it works as advertised Filtering through all coliform bacteria is at least as important
5/5

A filter I installed on the irrigation pond at my local golf course was tested with water pumped from an irrigation pond/hazard. In addition to the pond, there were surrounding trees and grasses home to birds and other small animals. The water contained numerous pollywogs and "water skeeters", which led me to believe that the water contained coliform bacteria, but not any other hazardous substances. The pint could be filled in 50 strokes - It is made of plastic and can be filled with water. A "PurTest Home Water Analysis" kit was bought from Amazon. I tested the "purified" water in the kit. In the test results, the following were indicated as negative or zero There are no pesticides and chlorine, copper, iron, lead, nitrates, or coliform bacteria in our water. It transformed the water in the pond, a habitat for wildlife, into clean, potable drinking It was not necessary for me to test the pond water to determine the content because the Question filter" will improve the quality of your water 0 is the result. Size of the pore is 0. 1 micron. Is it possible to get potable water from a dirty pond. The answer to this question is In the event that a major event occurs that disrupts the city water supply for an extended period, I will recommend having one of these available to my friends - thanks to this product, I am very satisfied. The period between two and more weeks.

The money spent was well worth it! Therefore, unless this device malfunctions soon, this purchase has proven to be worth it
5/5

Thank you for your patience. If someone complains, you can return it for another one and stop complaining. The pump doesn't act up until you handle it yourself which I believe is the case with this product. In addition, I was able to filter 1 gallon in less than 10 minutes rather than 45 minutes. We'd be a bit ridiculous if we did that. It was really difficult to balance on that tree since my knees were killing me. Despite the fact that I have only used it a few times, it has been worth my while. The first time I tried it, the weather in Arizona was 110 degrees and a showy neighborhood fountain was present. Water was filthy as you can see in the photos. There is a fountain that is pumped full of chemicals and there was garbage floating in the water due to the storm. In the second location, a pond that was infested with animals was located in a less rural area. This supposed to be a creek turned out to be a creek in Water does not last very long in creeks and rivers. I loved the taste of the water and how clear it was. That's what you would need for havasupai water, or arrowhead (arrowhead gets left behind sadly. ) Thank you so much! The filter has been and still is worth the purchase,.

Filtering is one of the most difficult things a company can do
5/5

During my travels and working in Peru, I needed something that would reduce viruses as well as debris in my computer. It has long seemed like a pipe dream being able to drink water from any source. But that dream is now a reality. As much as I like working with the support staff of this company, I decided to go with this filter. During the consultation I asked some pretty solid questions as I wanted to make sure (like 100% sure) that this would work for me since it's going directly into my body. It wasn't enough for me to just have a water filter I needed something that would preserve the water against viruses as much as possible and keep me from ingesting any harmful organisms. Fortunately, I heard back the following day (just an hour or so later actually) from their support team and we exchanged a string of emails that helped me clarify not only my questions but also gave me some new insights into the stomach problems I had experienced These guys are experts at what they do. The support staff went out of their way to ensure that I would get the right product I needed even more than selling me one of their own. In an ironic twist, this is what really drew me in. A quality that sets them apart is their sincerity. Additionally, in Peru I will put it through a very thorough field test. The following day, I only had time to read the manual and run some regular tap water through in order to become familiar with how to clean it, and I immediately enjoyed its simplicity as well as the taste of the water I use After two days I would be travelling to Pucallpa, Peru located in an extremely humid Amazon basin throughout the Amazon Basin where I have suffered many a stomach-ache night after night The past few months have been filled with heartbreaking episodes. As far as alternatives go, in Peru there's really not that many choices besides buying a lot of plastic water bottles, and well, what's worse, they don't exactly recycle here so that's a real pain. Since I've had the filter for two weeks (two weeks now), I've filtered out 70+ liters of tap water (that looks and tastes foul coming straight from the tap here in Shanghai). As soon as you've run the filter through, it's almost like honey and looks great. Not only have I been unaffected by any ailments but I've had the ability to drink as much water as I can, and that in itself is already wonderful. Due to the humidity and iron rich water in the area, the filter needs to be cleaned after every use. However, the filter is holding up nicely and is is equally impressed and we are confident that such a device has significant potential. That was the first test, and I'm heading to the high altitudes of the Andes to give it another round of tests with fields and rivers and lakes and whatever else I can find there. While it was damaged by a puppy that tried to chew the cotton filter to pieces, the filter is still capable of providing clean water and good flow. I would recommend this filter to anyone. It has exceeded my expectations, and I've had no issues with it since I purchased it. It appears to amaze everyone who comes into contact with it, how small and simple it is for the kind of product it can create. Thanks to everyone who participated. You did a great job.

The product is easy to use, tastes great, and is guaranteed for life! My filter has been with me for 4 years, and I have taken it on countless backpacking trips across the country
5/5

It is quite easy to use, and I like how fast the flow rate is. Despite the fact that I haven't tried it on water that I consider disgusting, the taste is always crisp. There is no doubt in my mind that this filter is trustworthy. I recently faced an issue with a seal during pumping. Some air or water would get pushed back instead of going through in the proper direction. When I contacted their customer service about this issue, they sent me a specific part to get the issue fixed. locate my purchase. I really enjoyed using this filter, and it holds up to their lifetime warranty without a fuss.
