Questions & Answers

In which box do you find the products?

It is easy to solve this problem by buying a separate drinking hose with a mouthpiece for Platypus'. The cost is a few dollars more. By carrying a camelback bag, you remove the need to carry an extra.

The price went up from $60 to $99 for what reason?

The Black Friday price promotions have

Is it possible to remove or kill 99 with this system. Do viruses make up 99% of computer infections?

EPA and CE certifications are included on Amazon, so make sure to check it out Guidelines for the removal of bacteria and protozoa in food, such as Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and E. coli. A number of bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Cholera have been linked. A virus is not included in this category. It is very common for people who use these filtration systems to have multiple types of water purification systems on hand at all times to have a back-up or double the cleansing power. I hope that you are having a wonderful day.

As a complement to this kit, I would like to add another bag. There is no way to check that I ordered the right items as there are no individual item numbers. Is anyone here? How are you?

Despite my platypus love, I still don't own one. In this item, I don't think there are any extra bags included. The water is usually emptied into other containers if there is more water required. The set is made up of several pieces. Separate parts don't seem to make sense to me

Here are the pros and cons
3/5

Since I already own a couple sawyers, but because their gravity system has such an unwieldy bag, I decided to give this one a go. ** Slightly smaller than the sawyer** * Compact and easy to store** * Clean and dirty water bags pack down small and the dirty water bags have a large opening** *Brought with a carrying bag** **Cons There is nothing clever about the design of this carry bag. There is one main compartment (the big one) in which to store the dirty water bag and one small mesh pocket (on the side) for holding your clean bag, filter, hoses and As you can see, all of that stuff won't fit in the A reversed decision ought to have been made here. A lack of design considerations like this makes me wonder if there are more issues that need to be addressed.

* Having to back flush all the time. What about designing a hose that had two halves, one for water and one for air? The sawyer doesn't require me to back flush, so this is annoying , too.
How do you know when the filter isn't removing the microns Is it still possible for organisms to exist? It needs to be replaced (when it needs to be replaced). With the Sawyer, you will rarely have to replace it. It holds 100,000 gallons. If it only does 1000, then when do you know you're close to your limit and could end up With a price of $100, this seems a bit excessive In comparison to the Sawyer, it is more expensive. I find it a bit disappointing that you need to buy a carbon filter separately. A price of this kind should include it. Lastly, a conclusion. I believe this is inferior to the Sawyer when it comes to the actual water filter, but I think it's superior in terms of the bags it uses to collect water. Since the bag is so poorly designed, it's a waste of money. Because the price is so much higher, it's not a good value to pay this much more for better bags when your filter is going to need replacing anyway.

My life has literally been saved by this device
5/5

I just started backpacking as a new hobby, but I have always been a camping enthusiast. The next time we would travel, I did not want to pack all the extra water in to get to and from the campsite, as well as need to have water at the campsite. I chose this model after reading reviews. The website is incredibly fast! This filter is fast and easy to use compared to my old one. It is very easy to setup. Buying two kits was an excellent deal for me. I was expecting the larger size to be much larger, but it's so fast that I don't see why anyone would order the larger size if they had a few 2. It takes less than three minutes to filter it. There is no liquid. To ensure that we are as careful as possible, we then transfer to our camelbacks and give iodine tablets. Another two minutes are left, which will be in 3 minutes from now. There is no liquid. There is only one thing I do not like about the kit and that is that I am unable to fit the filter into the mesh case with the rest of it. To accommodate this need, I would have preferred that the mesh case was a little bit larger. This is more of a convenience feature, not an inherent component of the kit. On our first trip, we carried enough water to get from the site to the boat plus a few extra pints. While hiking in Arizona, we were ready to burn off a lot of water in the 90+ degree heat. Once we arrived at the site where there was a pool of water 8 feet deep, we took our work kit out and began to dig. While the water we filtered was flowing, there were all sorts of animals in it (fishing spiders, frogs, tadpoles, water beetles) and various wildlife, including coatimundi, visited it. In the pool, there was also lots of plant growth. Since we wanted/needed to filter the water instead of boiling for five minutes, we didn't boil for five Four days have passed since we returned from our trip and no illness has surfaced, so if the water was tainted in any way, the filter ended up getting This will accompany us on all of our hiking or backpacking trips, either since we know we'll need water, or just in case.

This is the most important kit I own! I think the water system here is great
5/5

It's kind of crazy how fast the filter can be. There is no work to be done. The filter straw can serve as a simple drinking straw as well. It all folds apart easily, is light, and can be stowed away easily. My research led me to watch hundreds of videos of various systems in use, talk to users, and test ride several systems myself over time. After all my consideration, I decided this was the best system for my family of four, one dog, and our love of backpacking. With a filtering speed of about 1, the super fast filtering is done. The water is instant in the canteens and bladders, and people do not need to pump water to drink, so the group enjoys drinking water right away. The Law of Gravity takes care of everything! There were not a lot of cheap filtering systems I could find, which are fast and not terribly expensive. In addition, the amount of filtering it can do before a new one needs to be purchased is very impressive. The product components are all made of high In addition to the tubes, the overall quality of the product is exceptional. You can use the adapter to fill MANY types of containers, but you can fill just about anything directly from the tube, and that's Ensure that you only carry the pieces you It even comes with a plastic cap that pops up like a sports bottle so it automatically becomes a 2L water bottle once you need it! You might want to carry a set of purification tablets or powder (virus killer) in case you only can find Once that is done, you are all.

While out on a trail, the easiest, most reliable way to get water is to carry a bucket of it
5/5

Everyone we meet who isn't already a hiker (who doesn't own one) wants one of these sets. In truth, you don't really need the 4L set since this filters water so quickly (just a couple minutes) that you pretty much have endless water if you are near a water source. But if you need more, just run a second bag through it. Overage was offered up to those with pump systems that used hand pumps. We have taken ours out numerous times this summer on trips with my friends at least 3 of us now own one. There is enough length in the pipe to allow the clean reservoir to rest on the ground even when held at head height. If you're that interested in that please keep your eye out for the adapter that allows you to fill your backpack reservoir directly (I just dump from my 2L bottle into mine), but if you don't have that connection then you need to rent it. Make sure to install the little black hose clamp so you can stop it easily if you have to. Here's what you need to know It will be the best decision you ever make!.
