Questions & Answers

It is made of gold, isn't it?

Is it made of gold for some reason? It would not produce a spark if it were gold. Gold does not make up the ring.

The place where it is made. How are you?

When I used it for the first time, it broke. The credit for it was given to me because I threw it away. When it comes to where it's made, why should I care? My Gerber 31-inch cutter is a brand new one I purchased This Bear Grylls Survival Series Fire Starter can be purchased from Amazon for $999.99. I like how sturdy it is and how well it works. For those who need one hand to use the flint they can place it on a rock, step on it, and use their good hand to strike it.

I need a fire starter that will work the first time with my smaller hands and not break all my short, but feminine nails when I am trying to start a fire. There is a great deal of variation in the results I have achieved using strikers and fire starters. There is little difference between them - That's about it. If you are going to use one of those skinny little strikers that you have to rub with a piece of hacksaw blade, the back of the blade is almost as sharp and jagged as the front Short micro strikers cause you to light your hangnails on fire in addition to the tinder because you have your hand so close to the metal. In actuality it doesn't happen that way, but you get the idea. After I purchased this BlastMatch, my husband removed it from my possession and it has been missing from the face of the earth for over two years now. In retrospect, I should have known it was the best striker out there as soon as I saw it. The fire would occasionally reappear to light the fire pit in the backyard, but it would soon be whisked away to a pocket, where it vanished from existence as rapidly as it had appeared. Due to the fact that I did not know where it was, I simply had to use other strikers I had purchased that had worked just fine. There were a few other places that were more quick and easy than I would like to talk about the things The firesteel rod is the thickest I own, and it is the biggest and biggest I have ever seen. The picture I uploaded shows what I mean. It will likely last either for the advertised number of strikes or for a longer period. As far back as my son was seven, he has been able to use this fire starter to start a fire whenever we go camping. There is nothing difficult about it at all. The act of using. I can't really speak to how easy it is to open, but the procedure becomes intuitive after a while. It basically works through using your thumb to press down on one side and then pressing back up. Suddenly, you will be greeted by a bright yellow, orange, and white shower of sparks, like an angry sparkler who went awry and set alight everything there is that has the smell of (The first time we witnessed him in action, a friend set a small area rug on fire in our living room. After tamping off the tiny glowing embers, we were convinced. In the end, however, I decided to buy myself another one since my husband confiscated the first one I bought and would not let me even look at it. handed my boy scout child the other crappy fire rods we picked up along the way so he could replace them all with a tool that actually worked, which was actually quite safe because they don't hardly light a thing. The BlastMatch from 2014 and the one from 2016 are on the same server, so I decided to compare them I am interested in seeing if there have been any visible changes or if the product has become more flimsy as some reviewers have alleged. There wasn't a single difference between the two. They were similar in each respect the rods were the same diameter, and they both opened by springing like they were designed to. Having a spark throwing firework like this is a very rewarding experience. They give a generous shower of sparks, and if you hold it close to tinder, things will begin to burn. That is an easy catch for it. It was a pleasure to make BOTH purchases and I will continue using them until they give out. It would be wonderful if they didn't do that. I'd certainly be complaining about it right here. Although we do not use our BlastMatch every day, we have used the original one between 50 and 100 times since my husband is a scout leader and it is still in great shape with no cracks in the plastic or damage visible anywhere in Wait until the price drops to twelve or less before making a purchase, just to be on the safe side. Your patience will pay off because at various points of the year, I've seen the numbers as low as ten. Please do not use BlastMatch if you are drunk or trying to impress a woman. It's not as if the reviewers who broke theirs were drunk or able to impress women at all The following are some general pieces of advice I'd like to share with you. I bought both of the strikers I have at full price. I'm not associated with Even roasting marshmallows is my favorite thing to do. I don't like catching things on fire. I hope everyone has a good camping trip.

Definitely not a person to trust
3/5

BlastMatch appealed to me when I first saw it as a great idea in a small Surely there is something simpler to do? Fire is as simple as flinging open the lid, pushing down, making it hot. Using it is relatively simple when it comes to function. Only the way the lid opens is a deficiency in design. The moment you figure it out, either you get it or the striker snaps off. A big issue lies with the ferro ros used in these products. The material is of poor quality and will oxidize and turn to dust. The film is coated to prevent oxidation, but it will break down the first time it is cast in sparks, so the time is running out. I'm just glad to have found it in the unusable condition after going through my emergency bag instead of having to rely on it and going through the hassle.

I could not get the lid clasp to work properly due to poor sparks
3/5

This is a product I bought over a year ago and it has failed to meet my expectations. This program works, so I give it a two-star rating There barely is. Once I used it to start a fire twice. I've even seen it on a survival show that was filmed for amateurs, so I guess that's why it was used on the show. To begin with, there is only one ferro rod sticking out from the Ferro rod. This is 5 inches tall. only creates a small spark, and I have had to push it slightly repeatedly to get a good spark so that I can light it (just like Besides that, the plastic latch/clasp on the lid stretches after only owning it for a short time, resulting in now the lid not staying Having to deal with it all the time is a real hassle. Although I had actually paid 18 dollars with free shipping, this is NOT the "Ultimate" survival fire starter, though I did ultimately throw mine in the trash. The 5 inch Ferro rod available on Amazon is my recommendation. The following websites The dimensions are 3/4" X 5". 7mm x 12mm Fire starter kit with ferrocerium rod, Magnesium rod, and ferric rod in 7cm length for camping hiking outdoor survival and more
It's much easier to handle, and you can work out 3 or 4 in a row. It has too many strokes on it, and the sparks are quite large and I paid $7 for my Ultimate Survival Technology, and it costs less than half as much. The cost is $45. Free shipping is included. Although it does not include a striker, I always carry a knife, or you can typically find metal to spark it. We feel that the length of the team and the spark of the attack more than offset.

Actions that can be performed with only one hand Back-up information that's useful There is a two-step process that most people know The right hand It's always been my preference to use fire lighter systems that are based on magnesium blocks

Breaks easily and has a cheap feel
3/5

It is not possible to keep the ferro rod inside the plastic casing with epoxy glue. This rod shoots out of a casing in the form of a projectile. The plastic cap is attached by thin bands of plastic which bend easily and are likely A ferro rod is plugged into a ferro rod to snap the cap on, but it does not snap onto the body. There is a feeling of cheapness to all of it. The thing that I want to like about it is that it produces generous sparks in only a one-second span The left hand is used. An update to make it more usable is urgently needed. Instead of using plastic, maybe you should consider stainless steel.
