Questions & Answers

Does magnesium appear to be present in these?

I am not aware of any magnesium in the food.

What is the smoke effect of these fire sticks?

The truth is they do not. It is true that they produce a pleasant scent, however! There is a scent to the wax wherever it is sourced from. It must be a manufacturer of candles, I guess? It doesn't matter how they are used, they are very effective! I used to be able to buy them from Tents n Trails here in NYC, but for whatever reason, they no longer carry them. Firestarters like these are better than paste ones since they remind me of napalm & a bit of it can sometimes be tasted on your

Who ships these products? Where do they come from?

They are shipped from our warehouse in Paramus, NJ if they are ordered from Campmor.

Have any of you used these at home for your fireplace? Would you mind sharing how they did?

The only time I've used them was to start a campfire. It is still doubtful that they would be suitable for a fireplace, though. There is nothing more to them than melted wax and shredded cardboard (? If they release any creosote at all, I don't think they do much of it

Half a stick is all it takes
5/5

Incorporates the following My fire starting skills are poor, and I often struggle to start a fire with fire sparkers that are available. With matches or a lighter, it usually takes me a few tries to begin a campfire. Due to that, I think of these little fire starters as a kind of life insurance policy to make sure I can start a fire, keep it burning until my teepee catches, and then instantly light a fire if the need arises. I like the fact that you can just pull out one or two of these, without needing to carry your whole pack around. In the case of a broken stick, more than one fire will be started. It is even possible to use pieces, then safely remove them from the fire before they burn out In general, a single stick will last you three to four days depending upon how it is cleaned out in the dirt, and then re-used. Yes, it's true that there are ways to make things like this. There are other things that need to be considered as well Fibers like fine steel wool can be used to clean Fire starters can be used with them. I find magnesium sticks hard to work with and ugly to look at. The fire sticks need just a match to start burning, and then you can light tinder with them. You're awesome, and I think it's The bulk of a stick has been placed in all of my emergency fire-starting kits (along with matches, lighters, fire steel, and various sorts of micro-fuels) The tinder app is like that insurance policy, ensuring that flame will be there for me when I * * *. Neither the product nor its packaging were given to me as part of a As a result of my own opinion and actual use of this product, I wrote this review after comparing it with other products.

A great way to start a fire! It takes them about 30 seconds to light, but once they do, they don't usually go out
5/5

These are my favorite tiny fire starters they only light after a solid flame for about 30 seconds. It's only when they're $2 that I buy them. Price should not be based on the current market price. Then you get a quarter for each of them, and that's not My favorite way to start a fire is also by using 2. Fire kits can be broken in half for smaller size fires or fat-barrels can be used as fuel The wood has been replaced.

The fire starter is easy to light, but the taste is awful
5/5

exactly like the Astronaut snack sticks I used to eat when I was a child. Our friends had these really cool commercials that we pleaded for our parents to purchase. In addition to the foil wrapping, they were wrapped in something that looked like a tootsie roll and something out of the cat box when opened. Unfortunately, this was the way they tasted as well. In any case, on the day I bought these, I had only been drinking a few days, came off my meds, and was not yet drinking. It surprised me how similar the taste was to those space things, so I realized maybe I'd been mistaken following my initial impression. It turns out these things aren't any better than they were. It was even said that I ought to eat them, according to my best friend Raymond. There are only two words to describe this Lessons Learned.

My favorite thing about these fire sticks is how they look
5/5

The campgrounds are one of the many things I love about camping (or at least they're one of the things I enjoy now). Since my youth, I've used them for fire starters and they are the best I've used. Even hard to start fires can be easily lit with them as they light up quickly and produce a strong flame. They are a great way for me to avoid starting a camp fire when I am traveling. In the past, finding them was the biggest problem for me. The product was occasionally available at Target, but I often had to settle for an inferior substitute since they were often sold out. As long as they are on Amazon, I have the convenience of getting.

It performs exactly how it was promised to
5/5

I was amazed at how dense these little sticks were! As well as being water-resistant, they are also durable. One is all that is needed to start a fire in a dry climate. We tried the fire stick two days after a heavy rain, and it did not react negatively to the wet or damp weather. It was obvious that I had first drained the water from the fire pit, but the fire was good and going even when the previous burn's ashes were soaked and sitting at the bottom. In addition, I typically use larger pieces of kindling to start my fires since I do not own a hand ratchet (yet).

This is a very easy and fast method to make these! As you can see, given the size, I thought I'd need at least some thick wood sticks to light a fire, but I decided to try it without first, and the fire was up and roaring in no time at all
5/5

The pieces are so easy to place under your wood, they take seconds to light and pack a huge punch for their tiny size! Just a couple strategic placements and you've got a nice fire going in no time! Highly recommended!.

Tinder should be avoided at all costs
5/5

With these, you don't need to use Tinder at all. This isn't about the dating app, so go buy some chemical fire starter instead because you'll probably be better off on other apps. You can use these, however, if you want to skip the task of collecting tiny sticks, pine needles, and birch bark from the forest. Even with sticks no larger than your thumb in diameter, you can get a rolling fire. Lighting these can be difficult (a lighter is recommended), but once they heat up, you'll have a rolling fire when you've only got wet sticks. This product has been approved by Eagle Scouts.

Fire sticks are the best way to easily start a fire
5/5

You can get a good fire going with these fire sticks even if the wood is damp. It is a good brand I have used on several occasions. The fire starts easily with just a bit of a stick and they don't smell either. They come in a re-sealable bag for easy storage as well.
