It has a similar feel to fogo charcoals, and I figured it would hold up to the same treatment. It's so tight around them and they have so much wax on them that when you light them, they disappear after a short time. My experience was that I needed to unwind all the strands of the wick to get them to burn correctly. Also, I use the dragon chimney and fan, but they leak so much wax after they're burned that they take up the whole room once they're done. It is unlikely that I will buy.
My experience with BGE is not included. I used at least 5+ other options in a similar capacity, and these are the best. In addition, I have used these to start fires in my fireplace and in small log fires as follows I think this is also a great use case for it.
The Egg 4 has provided me with many charcoal starters, so I have tried many of them During April through October, we will be on 5 nights a week. Although I like Fogo lump charcoal, I have found these starters to lack the kind of flame that I enjoy. They require several attempts to get a flame to ignite. As soon as they are lit, the lump is ignitable.
Does the job as described but could be a little cheaper.
The only downside is that they are slow to start. We recommend using a charcoal chimney and wad of newspaper for faster lighting.
Put one or two under the chiminea and you're good to go.
Nails it every time! * I cannot express how pleased I am with this product.
I have been impressed by the forget products I have used.
