I love it! I eat a lot of hiking meals in mountain lodges and this one is awesome! Although this is a very plain meal being just meat and mashed potatoes, it is still very tasty! The texture and flavor are very different from a meal from your favorite can, and this is more like a home cooked meal than anything out of a can!

Good freeze dried food can be found at Mountain House. The writing on this one is superb. I actually think it's among my top three favorites. It's a wonderful book that I recommend.

Another meal would be better

There have been only a few mountain houses that I didn't like. It tasted rough and dry after rehydrating it for 10 minutes, and I left it to rehydrate for another 10 minutes. There was nothing special about the chicken other than the fact that it was overcooked. In terms of mash potatoes, it didn't help because they were just ordinary instant mash potatoes, and I put a separate package of chicken dust in the container, and it all went flying.

This was truly awesome. There is a dehydrated mashed on this dish, which I expected to be disappointing. The instructions were followed to a tee and I thought it was excellent. Our wife, who has pretty high standards for mashed potatoes, declared this to be her new favorite dish. The mashed were as good as.

So that's that. I'm a good match because I've always been interested in learning more about it. This was not a disappointment for me. It was fun for my brother and me. A little salt and pepper would have been nice. In the end, I was pleased with the taste of the bars. I ordered a few different styles for my work.

I have to say this is delicious. The portions were adequate for two people, but we also had the chocolate cheesecake (yum) and rolls. The product was excellent and I would buy it.
