Since I don't live in Texas, I can learn from others who have been through disasters Food is a necessity. Don't go without it. Try to do what you can whenever possible if you can afford a small amount at a time. The contents of this container will keep you safe for 30 years, and if anything goes wrong you'll be glad you bought it. Even if you don't eat it now, your kids or grand kids can have a fun time eating some later for fun when you are just 6 foot. Be sure to pack water as well as water purification tabs and sterno. The information is right here for you, just as I found it. I am glad to have the Amazon politics on my side, even if I disagree with them at times. allows me to live out in no man's land and to be able to place orders so long as there is a post office, UPS, or FedEx nearby.
This is the third bad order of food. Packs that are not working Having ordered 3 faulty items in the past 2 months is a problem. During our experience of eating the chicken fajita, we all had abnormally bad physical reactions. Throughout our lives, we have felt numb, burning, and inflamed sores in the mouth. It is truly a tragedy. There has always been a great deal of quality camping food available at Mountain House. Since many years, our company has been a loyal, happy customer. I have ordered different meals three times in the past week, and each time the food quality was different.
I haven't tried anything better than this since MH. The order in which I rank them is *) Chicken Fajita Bowl (bleh!.
Adding it to my list of "will definitely buy again" for my camping trips in the back country. It's clear that corn, peppers, and chicken are there in substantial amounts. I found the seasoning to be tasty. I am glad I gave it a shot. Voici a tip I weigh 230 pounds and am 6'5" tall. I always eat the two servings with no problems (this is true for all mountain house meals). As it turns out, I had ample space for some trail mix and my Snickers bar desert. My girlfriend, a petite 5'4" woman, also ate the two serving option and felt full at the end. Consider your options carefully.
Last time I ate a freeze dried meal was about 35 years ago. The old Richmoor was presently discontinued, however you could still order the "premium" Mountain House and get a greater flavor if you spent an additional dollar or so. When I was a child, MH was the preferred product. Choices were still limited to Chili Mac, Spaghetti, and Beef Stroganoff. It's the best Chicken Fajita Bowl there has ever been! The next time I come back to visit, I will definitely be purchasing again along with trying out new flavors like Pad Thai.
There must have been a defect in the package. The metallic taste of the food was evident as I ate As much as I tried to convince myself it was in my head or my camp spoon, it remained unanswerable. I ventured into the woods with my shovel 45 minutes after eating the meal in order to calm my stomach. After that, I suffered for 20 minutes. After taking a nap for an hour, I woke up to go through round two. There was no way to fix it. Besides that meal, I enjoyed all my other meals. I would advise you to eat at your own risk though. Whenever there is any off taste, throw it out!.
This has just become one of my new favorites from the mountain house! I eat quite a bit of mountain house meals! I like how tasty it is, how well it is made, how it is composed, and how filling it is too! The nutritional value for this meal is not even known to me since I don't even look at those things, but this particular meal fills you up quite well, and it tastes so delicious you'll want to go on eating even when you're full.
mistake, but I thought I finally found the previously made Chicken Fajita packs, but this one also has rice and a few other ingredients, which makes it more similar to a Chipotle bowl (as it states if you read it). All the ingredients, with the exception of rice, have a good flavor and I like them all as well No, I am not a fan of the bowl So I prefer the traditional Chicken Fajita packs that MH made in the past. If the change is to add important calories and carbs while on a trail, it probably has that purpose.
