I enjoyed this meal very much! It has chicken, vegetables, and fluffy dupling bites in a creamy white gravy, making it the perfect dish for an outdoor activity or fun indoor activity! The nutrients and freshness of the meat are locked in when freeze-dried. There is no need for refrigeration.

I think I have found my new favorite Mountain House food, right up there with the turkey casserole. There are no chicken and dumplings here if you are from the south, or if you expect to eat a "classic" meal from the south. However, if you like chicken pot pies like I do, this recipe is perfect for you. It needs a bit of pepper, but it is still delicious. Here's one last bit of history trivia for the The old Navy's wooden vessels and iron men used to store water in old wooden barrels for months at a time, when they used to have wooden ships and iron men. It was pretty gross, even by the standards of sailors. 'Grogg' was an English captain who once discovered that by mixing 1 part rum with 4 parts water, he could drink water more easily. Alcohol also made sailors less sick (the critters in the water were killed by the alcohol) and made the sailors happier while stuck on a small ship for months at a time. In this case who knows, maybe you just need to clean your water if you feel cooped up and grumpy. It's just something I wanted to share.

This product has shrunk in size, its price is higher, and the packaging is unacceptably poor

I have been purchasing emergency supplies from Mountain House for years, but am currently switching manufacturers because Mountain House is seriously reducing quality and shrinking servings while still increasing prices. Regarding quality, the latest order I received was very poorly packaged, six items thrown together and wrapped in The outside of one of the cars even had something dark and sticky spilled on it.

There are now four pouches per pouch. Rather than 4 ounces of product, use 5 ounces. This is 65 more than before and for more money!.

There's more to survival food than that

The flameless heater that I use is by Barocook, and these meals are perfect. I cooked this recipe in the 9-ounce Dutch oven for 7 minutes. It has a good flavor, but make sure you add enough water and wait until it is cooked, otherwise the biscuits will be too hard. Cooking pot. There will be no waste or spillage as the bag is resealable but if you prefer to eat the whole meal at once, it has been designed specifically for you to eat your food out of, so you don't need to carry a mess kit. Nevertheless, I suggest that we take a longer look at this Designed to hold a handle.

This is an excellent product

My next attempt at eating it will be next week. The product I purchased is fantastic. As a matter of fact, I waited so diligently for it to be delivered, but when the postman left it on top of a box in our driveway, the birds ripped open the plastic and ate What the heck! Although I am not happy with this product, I would suggest buying a box or a bucket if you live in a rural area and are concerned about birds stealing your eggs. A few points. The previous time I ate this, it was so yummy!.

You don't need to make a mess making it, and preparing it is quick and easy. I didn't give it a full 9 because I think it's definitely not two servings, and although it tasted great, it's not worth that much.

Good tasting freeze dried food is hard to come by. This was a great achievement for Mountain House! There is nothing better than the taste. Even if you share this packet with two people in addition to other items, I often find that I can finish the dinner on my own after a long hiking day (I'm a smaller woman as well). Additionally, it is recommended that you keep the sealed meal in the hot water at least five minutes longer than is It wasn't completely ready after I gave it the recommended time, so make sure the seal is good and wait a little bit longer. I liked the fact that you can eat straight from the bag and it was easy to use.

The quality of the food is poor and there is contamination

He is no longer a customer of Mountain House. It was a 6-year-old who placed my last order Pack a bag. Contaminated to a great extent! There were bags full of long black hair and what I believe to be a hair net in the room. What a disgusting thing to do!.
