This is the last of four cans I purchased a few months ago and broke it open this past As far as I am concerned, it has gone quite far. About an inch of the can of mix was used from the one gallon pitcher with strong orange juice/orange tang flavor. There are still plenty more where that came from, as three kids drank a gallon of it in two days. As well as the O2 absorbers, I was pleased. In one case, the ants were about half way through the can, in another, toward sure we will add more to our long-term storage once we receive them, and they are a great addition to our long-term storage!.
It has been several weeks since my horse has had an obstruction, which seems to be related to not drinking enough. With a couple of scoops of sugar in his water, he is now drinking a lot.
The reason I read all the reviews is that I thought some other person might have the same opinion. There is no difference in taste between the two. But it is far from being as powerful as Tang. The amount of powder that I need to add will have to be doubled to make it taste great. Putting it at around $6 a gallon, this will be about right. Putting this over my budget is not an option. We warn you that the bottle will last a long time. Over time it will begin to clump if left open for a long period of time. You just need to shake it up and keep it in a dry place even if it does seem to be going bad. When the lid is left open for more than a month or two, the flavor starts to change (not expired, just a bit "stale. The sweet flavor is muted and the electrolytes are more noticeable).
The stuff is yummy. As with many of these drinks, it's full of sugar, but I think that understanding that makes it tasty and easy to mix with.
This is a really good idea. My personal opinion is that it is better than Tang (the average) and probably cheaper as well. There is a larger container than you can get in a lifestyle market (whatever that means, my market has become one), so the price per ounce is likely to be As for Vitamin C content, I do not have the equipment to analyze it, but it does taste like Vitamin C That would be ascorbic acid to me, if that's what you mean.
