The fact that they last for 25 years is a plus for me. My grocery store recently had 14 more cans of carrots for sale, however when these cans of carrots arrived, they were covered in large red stickers over the dates on the bottom. However, the stickers do not peel off quite as I had hoped. When food is dehydrated, why do big red stickers that don't peel off go around the dates to help you determine when it was dehydrated and how long it will keep? Was Amazon the one to do this or was it Auguson Farms? It is not necessary to place big red stickers on food cans over the dates on the bottom. I request that the stickers be placed in a different location than over the dates on the bottom. You have to pay attention to dates when you buy emergency food!.
tiny pieces of diced carrots, but be aware that the pieces have a very small size. The size of this piece is much smaller than the typical carrot dice you would use for serving as a vegetable or baking. For larger pieces and fresh or frozen carrots, I usually go with the latter. Despite the small size, there are certain occasions when it can be quite useful. Due to the small size, I am sure dehydration will occur more quickly, and rehydration and cooking will also be easier to accomplish. I'm pleasantly surprised at how moist and delicious the texture and flavor are after rehydration. It is almost as good as what you would expect from fresh carrots, if you don't mind their small size. Due to the fact that they don't require washing, peeling, chopping or refrigeration, they are particularly convenient. The different Auguson farms items I purchase are readily available pantry items I purchase to use in my daily life. As well as being ideal for long-term storage, they are also easy to clean.
Considering there is no waste, I figure for the extra price I'm not really paying that much more since there is no waste. I was also pleased with the taste and smell of the As soon as you rehydrate the carrots, you'll be able to taste them as fresh as they are. I am of the opinion that the convenience of always having fresh carrots available whenever I need them makes up for the cost in most cases.
The shipping box was intact, but 2 of the cans were severely damaged.
Our dog eats carrots, so I bought these to add to his Her anal glands recur every time she goes out. She is a lab/golden mix. There have been several tried and tested food additives, dietary changes, and frequent trips to the veterinarian, but nothing has helped. Since I began adding a tablespoon of grapefruit seed powder to her dry food (with water added) almost two months ago, I've seen a marked improvement in her behavior. Even though she still experiences 'issues' every once in a while, it's nothing compared to what it used to be. My dog has no complaints about the carrots, since I haven't tried their flavor. However, they work great for what I purchased them for and I haven't heard any negative comments about them.
The act of peeling carrots is no longer possible for me. I love how easy these carrots are You can prepare it the same way you would the canned version by boiling a few spoonfuls in some hot water for a few minutes. You can still use it the same way, except with less salt. You only need to open this can and then you can pop off the lid to make it empty I empty the contents of larger cans into ziplock bags, into which I put my dessicator, and then put the whole thing back into the can. I don't have to fiddle with a can opener each time. Besides lasting a long time, it also tastes great.
Whenever I wasn't able to use vegetables because they went bad, I would throw them away. The soup I love to make is homemade, however, now that I am alone after my husband’s death, there are just me and my children. My fresh vegetables no longer have to be thrown out so I have to run to the store 12 miles away to fix a meal.
The package did not appear to be damaged when it arrived. Upon opening it, I heard the air release, which proved that it was an airtight seal. Moisture could have be present even in dehydrated food, but it was not on the
Using a hand can opener from the dollar store, I was able to open the can easily. There was nearly no waste in the product, and it smelled okay. Though I didn't taste them, I was curious to see what they looked like. Considering the amount, this is a substantial sum. Once it is reconstituted, it expands. You can get a lot out of a little. Adding silica pacs and sealing the jars with a vacuum was the next step. After I keep an eye out for any condensation in the jars over the next few days, I'll make sure moisture hasn't entered before I *** There is one jar that is a 1/2 gallon (64 ounces) and one that is a quart (32 ounces). A very small amount of powder was present. My score on this dish was lowered by one star because I wasn't able to In so far as the product is concerned, nothing is wrong.
