For camping trips and outdoor adventures, I have used them frequently without a problem. The camping mess kit is another great example of how a product can make a great gift. It comes with everything you need for a weekend hike or a quick picnic with two. My experience with washing the rest of the items in the dishwasher was fine, except that I wouldn't recommend washing the cutting board in the dishwasher.
