We usually travel with a kitchen kit because of my son's severe food allergies, whether it's for a day trip to the beach or a longer vacation in a vacation rental or hotel. We can cook and serve food safely with our own plates and utensils in the kitchen. This kit appeared to be ideal, as it included a zip bag and a variety of plates in various sizes. It's small, light, and inexpensive, but it's made of 201 stainless steel! This stainless steel has a lower grade than 304 stainless steel. While it is food safe, unlike 304, it can rust and has a metallic odor. We have 304 children's plates that can be soaked in dishwater overnight, don't smell like metal, and can be washed in the dishwasher. While these 201 stainless steel plates can technically go in the dishwasher, they can't sit in water, so if you air dry your dishes like we do, be aware that you'll need to remove them and hand dry them. These are the most high-priced items on the market right now. We have a number of maintenance dishes.
Just last weekend, it was used to transport a large group on a rafting trip. The items lasted a long time and were simple to clean. The set is not light because it is made of stainless steel. br>My only gripe is that there are so many similar variations. I would have preferred a set with only two bowl sizes and two plate sizes.
This set appeals to me because it includes a little bit of everything and appears to be well-made. The pack is light and does not have a cheap feel to it. For camping, I'm looking forward to having a variety of plates and bowls. If you buy more plates or bowls, they'll all fit into one of the carry bags. They come highly recommended from me!.
Pro: Stacks well, comes in a variety of sizes, and is thus suitable for a wide range of foods.
Cons: The material is extremely bendy (bowls and plates pop strangely), sharp lip careful when cleaning, and yes, it rusts if not dried quickly after washing, as previous reviews stated.
We went camping for the first time. We weren't planning on ordering such a large quantity of camping dishes, but we're glad we did. The majority of the bowls and plates have been used. Have you ever made fajita wraps and used a lot of bowls to hold the tomatoes and cheese? I was thankful for the large set of mangoes and other fruits. Even hot chocolate can be made with warmed water in a bowl.
They're one of my favorites. They were purchased for use in the kitchen on a regular basis. With three children in the house, we needed something that wouldn't shatter when dropped, and these are a great option. They resemble dog bowls in appearance, but that's not a bad thing. They are simple to rinse and wash. They came out of the dishwasher without any scratches or blemishes. In addition, there are multiple sizes and four of each, which is useful.
This is a fantastic collection of pieces - There's a dish of every size you'll ever need. They also appear to be attractive. Because the set as a whole is quite heavy - I only gave it three stars in the "lightweight" category. However, each piece has a pleasant weight to it - This is exactly what you'd expect from a stainless steel dish. This is a set that I highly recommend.
My husband and I both ordered this set. We do a lot of overlanding 4x4 trips and needed something compact. br>br>This is a great product; the plates are sturdy but light, and having more than one plate per person is great. (We bought the set that came with two of everything. )br>br>The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the bag it came in was not the same as the one pictured and was a little flimsy. It's a drawstring bag made of net. Still, it isn't a significant problem. It was well worth the money.
