I have a number of collapsible silicone food storage containers in my collection. This one, on the other hand, includes a set of camping utensils, which is an unusual combination. However, in their respective categories, they are all very nice. When collapsed, the food storage is compact, but it expands to hold 40 oz without reaching 3" in height. The airtightness of the lid is excellent. This is one of my favorites because the container isn't too tapered, so it holds more and more stable with a nearly 7-inch wide base. The silicone container is intended to be used as a food storage container rather than a bowl or plate for serving. br>br>The metal camping utensils come in a nice set with a velcro-closed storage bag. The utensils are well-made, with smooth edges and a sliding metal strip that keeps the handle open when not in use. The spoon and fork have serrations on the business end, but the knife does not. I'm keeping these to combine with other, more worthy camping supplies. br>br>The metal can easily pierce the silicone container. But I'm not going to use them together.
For camping, this is a fantastic little bowl: When closed, it is collapsible, lightweight, solid, and airtight. It pleases both my wife and me. br>br>This bowl includes collapsible utensils, which should be removed from the package. While they aren't completely useless, they are bulky, have a clumsy sliding catch, and are no match for the many compact utensil kits available. br>br>However, at this price, the bowl is a clear winner.
This bowl and lid set is very nice. It comes with folding cutlery, which I suppose would come in handy in an emergency but isn't something I'll ever use. It doesn't have a strong odor. br>The bowl is fairly rigid, but it could accordion down and cause a mess depending on how you transport it (or how heavy your food is). Personally, I don't require an industrial-grade collapsible bowl, so it suffices for me. It all depends on what you intend to do with it.
For our camping trip, we needed compact, lightweight utensils, and these were ideal because they fold up into a small bag. They are simple to clean. The collapsible bowl was also of excellent quality. If you're looking for lightweight, compact camping utensils, I highly recommend them.
