Multiple bowls do not nest flush, resulting in additional wasted space in our pack (we have two kids, so four of these stacked up is quite large). Other things could theoretically be nested inside, but that would be a simple design fix. Aside from that, they've been great for every meal we've had on our four backpacking trips.
I bought two of these for my grandchildren to use when we go camping. They're long-lasting and simple to maintain. These are kept in a storage container with the rest of the family's camping gear.
For my first trip to the Boundary Waters, I purchased this bowl, and it was fantastic! It's tough, light, and doesn't overheat. I'd buy another if I could afford it.
For our camping trip in Yosemite last weekend, I purchased two of these - They were used in a chunky beef dish. One night, we made vegetable stew, and the bowl's design was ideal; we were able to fit a large portion onto the bowls, including a section of an ear of corn, and the depth and volume were just right. Although the stew was hot, I don't recall it being a problem as I carried our bowls to the picnic table. The style is unique. The materials are quite nice, and if we lost these, I would definitely purchase the same bowl. I hope to use them again in the near future!.
It's a good size and weight for backpacking. Still, it's a little pricey for a plastic bowl, and they don't fit together very well if you try to nest more than one of them.
I purchased two of these bowls, one with and one without a lid. I'm happy with both of them. The addition of the handle is a nice touch. I've never tied it to a pack, but knowing that I could is cool.
