This is an excellent bowl. I've had no issues with the bowl or cup so far. It's not going to collapse on its own, in my opinion.
Do you want to use it as a chewing toy? There's no way. Yes, if it simply detects it. It won't be a bowl that lasts forever. I'm tempted to use it as a dog bowl, but the sides aren't quite strong enough. That is something for which there are bowls available on the market.
Yes, it can withstand temperatures of up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit from hot foods and nearby hot surfaces, and it's dishwasher and microwave safe.

It easily pops up (even with my arthritic hands), folds flat, washes well, and is exactly what I needed. My only criticism is this: Because of its softness, it is impossible to pick up with one hand as a hard-sided bowl would. I've tried picking it up by an edge on several occasions, but it always collapses. So, if you want it to be portable, keep in mind that you'll need two hands to move/hold it and/or you'll need to put it on a plate or tray to transport it. Otherwise, it's perfect, and the color (chartreuse) is one of my favorites.
When I'm traveling, I use this as a place to dump the contents of my pockets (keys, pens, hotel room cards, flash drives, and so on). I simply expand and stuff everything into my hotel room when I arrive. There will be no more misplaced items while your regular routines are suspended.
This bowl was purchased to keep my dog hydrated while out hiking. I needed a bowl that could be carried in my daypack flat and was also human-friendly. My dog has received a grade that is considered to be safe. This one was perfect for the job and appears to be well-made enough to last years of hiking with my buddy.
This bowl is one of my favorites. I was concerned that it would be too small when I first received it. However, it can hold quite a bit. I mostly use it for cereal, but it also works well in soups and chili. It folds up small enough to fit in my cook kit. It's also very simple to keep clean.
To make room for additional items in my mess kit, I replaced the existing bowl and cup with the X Bowl and X cup. br>br>I've used these a few times and appreciate how simple they are to disassemble and store. It's also simple and quick to clean up afterward.
I'm sure this is great for campers and overnight backpackers, but I bought it for takeout soup. Every week, my job requires me to travel and stay in hotels, and sometimes all I want to do at the end of the day is order food to my hotel room via delivery. Soup is typically served in styrofoam or paper containers at restaurants. The Sea to Summit Plate is ideal because it folds almost flat and fits neatly into my work backpack, and it allows me to microwave the soup if necessary.
I section hiked and purchased this bowl just a few weeks ago in preparation for my second attempt at a thru hike; I love these products because they save space in my pack, are easy to clean, and are lightweight. I'm hoping Sea to Summit keeps making these in the future because they're some of the best camping dinnerware I've ever used!.
