A latch and a hinge on the latch were broken. The elk was loaded and this was on the tailgate of a pickup truck when it slipped off. This parts kit for Igloo Coolers includes a new ice chest lid, plastic hinges, drain plug, latches, and latch posts that will make the cooler as good as new again.
As you can see, the clasps and hinges are not quite the same as those from the original igloo Nonetheless, they worked great, lined up with the same holes (for the clasps), and actually held the cooler closed more effectively than it did before. This was a great easy fix that I found.
Today I received this product. The hinges, latches, and drains were repaired or replaced. Washing the cooler with pressure and letting it dry on its own worked well. One of the latches broke after the lid was blown shut by the wind. So the lid would stay open, I stood it on end. Nevertheless the cooler blew over now that all of the hinges had snapped because of the wind. Taking up time and money is a waste.
