It used to leak water everywhere because the drain plug broke on an old cooler. I now have a plug for the drain hole because this kit fixed it. With the unit, you can replace the existing pre-wired wiring with an electrical supply Install the drain plug assembly that is currently in place. In order for the screw thread to bite into the assembly, I had to hold both the inside and outside parts together as I tightened If this was not done, the thread of the screw could not connect to the outside fitting, and thus the screw would not be tightened. It was the tightening of the assembly that was the key to success. At one end of this assembly, there is a hole shaped like a hex but it is huge. The hex wrench I have is too small compared to this one. I visited Home Depot to pick up a cheap hex wrench but none were available in this size. Finally, I bought a screw from Home Depot, where the screw cap fit the hole, I bought some nuts to put on the screw, then I hammered them together, then I tightly screwed the screw into the hole, then I tightened it with a wrench. Though I expected a little effort, I found it to be more difficult.
