As well as purchasing the new latch and snap, I had to purchase new black stainles latches and snaps to make sure it would stay latched on my old cabinet.
It used to be that I had to replace 3 of them In a year, 4 of the hinges are made of plastic. In their 4th year, they are still in operation. Their effectiveness has been proven.
You can use them if they look like the hinges on the 40-quart. The 60 qt will be OK if they are cooler, they fit the 60 qt nicely.
Is there a hinge on each side? The lid of the cooler needs these when it is opened. These are far superior to the plastic ones that came with the car.

Igloo should take advantage of this. As I discovered, the original hinges on my Igloo cooler collapsed after a very short time of usage, which is a very common problem. I had been using duct taped hinges on my cooler for probably a year when I came across these hinges and decided to experiment with them. These screws screwed right in to the original locations and worked perfectly just make sure not to over tighten the screws since you are screwing into very.
It would have been better to let a small amount of superglue dry in the cooler holds before placing the one screws for a tighter fit. Although my screws were the right size, the coolant lid did tend to break out a bit. During my six years of working at a union, I have learned to let the glue dry before screwing in the new ones.
The hinges of my broken igloo were on their way out, and I was ready to throw it out. When I saw the true pinned versions instead of the standard junk all plastic hinges, my eyes widened. I think it will survive as a pass When I die, I will be able to help the kids.
A couple years ago, I bought an Igloo cooler with those sticky "folded plastic" hinges. This is the replacement I ordered for them after they finally gave out. My failure to do this from the get-go was my fault. It would probably be best for Igloo just to use these hinges from the get-go. Installing them is easy and they work well.
I used this with my large Igloo cooler perfectly. It is great to be able to replace the old hinges with these hinges since the old ones had cracked away with age. Therefore, this is a cheap and easy way to extend the life of your cooler.
Excellent value for the money. The screws should be left in place. There were too many words in theirs. If you replace any and all plastic hinges with these, you will be a much happier person. It is hard for hedges to survive cold weather. There will never be a failure with these.
The white plastic ones that I replaced two years ago were cracked. I bought these to replace them. There seems to be more strength and sturdiness to these hinges and they are easily replaceable.
Despite the fact that Igloo coolers are awesome, their hinges are not so great. While camping, I broke all three of these on a friend's cooler. So, I bought these for him. The quality of these is way better.
