A new set of screws are on the right part
5/5

I'm no expert! It came from Amazon, by the way. A vendor such as com itself. It was two Coleman plastic hinges in a four-color Coleman sealed bag. There was a mini ziploc bag inside with screws, and it was shipped with the right part. It is advertised in the newspaper The number of screws you need to install is eight, and I am a victim of ten screws [!] Baggie of [insert content here] We have two extras. (i) They were installed smoothly. Do you have any other questions? I'm making it easy! Wait for a moment. There is something else I want to tell you! At the factory, these screws were tapped to fit the plastic. To put it another way, the plastic was molded with a hole for the screw, but there were no threads within. Threads were created by the screw itself as it bit into the plastic (inner diameter of the hole). When you remove the old screws, you can see the threads. You might, however, find that if you just put a new screw in and screw it in, it might make new threads that cross over the old ones. In essence you would ream out the old hole into a larger one. What would be the best way to To do this, simply place the tip of the screw onto the end of a Phillips screwdriver, and then, while applying gentle pressure, rotate the screw (with the screwdriver) counterclockwise until you hear a slight click, at which point you simply stop rotating it. It is the threads of the screw that will fall into the threads of the hole made by the previous screw that will make the "click. ". As you screw in the screw clockwise, you will be using the threads that have already been made and will not need to cut If you are screwing into relatively soft plastic, you should not tighten the screw too much. By the way, that's how you put screws back into holes that were self-drilling Regardless of the material, whether it was a $40 cooler, a $2000 laser printer, or an automobile, the system could be tapped into. By the way, I am not sure I will say, however, that providing an extra screw or two is a method often used by companies that want to be helpful to their customers. In addition, it minimizes the possibility of accidentally shorting your customers in their fastener count, and helps them if they lose one while using the replacement part. Maybe I was given an anomalous pack, but even though I did not need them, I did appreciate the extra fasteners.

A package full of garbage right out of the box
3/5

As far as I understood, I was purchasing a product from Coleman for use with My cooler hinges have been broken for over a month, so I went to fix them, only to find out that the plastic they are made out of is brittle, and the thin part of the hinge is supposed to function. Flexing is a way to flex. I attempted to bend it on my first try, and it snapped. The first thing that happens is NO GOOD. As well, the screws provided have a much smaller head and would be weaker to install than the originals. It has been a very disappointing experience. I wasted a lot of time and money, plus the return/warranty period was only 30 days, so I'm, well, screwed. What an irony.

You should be cautious when buying
3/5

The product I purchased is nothing like the picture I saw when I ordered it. I have included my pictures below so you can see what was In addition to that, they sent one right away! Two people could be seen in the picture. It was two of them I needed. Though I would have bought another if it were the right part I would have bought the hinges I thought I bought. There are several kinds of hinges available. I like it even It is not possible to return this item. Thanks to Amazon, I have been burned again. I strongly suggest that you do not buy them (this). Keeping my old cooler in working order for $5 was a good investment. It is not clear if the cost has increased now, or if it has changed in the past.

The Best Coleman Replacement Hinges and Screws You Can Buy! Durable, functional, and authentic, these Hinges and Screws are the best! Original Coleman "Xtreme" cooler hinges and screws are exactly the same as those used on these genuine Coleman Replacement cooler hinges and screws
5/5

A package of two plastic hinges and eight metal screws was included in the package. Exactly as stated in the specifications. I found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow, as well as installation to be straightforward. It took him only a few minutes to install them. Our cooler had been a part of our family for about 10 years, but it was slowly dying. As a result, we replaced the dying parts of the cooler rather than buying a new one. There are three parts to the handle the hinges, the drain, and the handle. Coleman replacement products are used for all. Just as the original hinges, these hinges get the job done as well. There is no issue or problem with the operation of the machine. As a result, we now have a lid that's "attached" to the cooler, which makes it more convenient to open and close. What a wonderful thing it is that these hinges were on sale, as we would have to pay up to $30 for them otherwise. The price range is between $100 and $400. To purchase a cooler, you will need $1000. You may want to consider these hinges if you're unsure. Don't be worried about it. Having the hinges replaced instead of having to purchase a new cooler is definitely more cost-effective! I am delighted with the product. I would recommend it highly!.

This is an original Coleman replacement part
5/5

These replacement hinges were purchased and installed by me. The Coleman replacements (see picture of plastic bag) are genuine Coleman replacements (despite some of the low reviews). The new ones replace the old ones exactly. As a result, they are stiffer than the hinges they replace, but I think this is the result of not being flexed at least 100s or 1000s As I remember it, it looks the same as it did when it was There is one note to bear in mind The bottom of the seat has three ribs and the top has two and it is probably best to replace them as they were originally arranged. I think this is a great The cooler is like a new one now, and I only paid $5 for it.

Buy a new set of hinges rather than a new ice chest - it's a lot cheaper
5/5

Several years ago, I had two older Coleman coolers that were damaged by broken plastic hinges. I had wheels on my large cooler, but not on my smaller cooler There was a minimum age of 10 for both of them. As I set out to find new coolers, I found the task not as straightforward as I had expected. My Ford F150 used to contain two cooling units, and they seemed to have grown to a size I did not want given the space available behind the front seats. It took me a long time to find an Igloo ice chest of just the right size, but when I got it home I realized the wheels were on the short sides rather than on their Due to the fact that my two car garage did not have an aisle this wide, I had to pull the ice chest in the direction of its width. Furthermore, the new ice chest does not have a drain plug like my old one. In order to replace the hinges, I ordered replacements. I saved over $50 and can keep using chests that I am familiar with while the hinges fit both chests, were easy to install and I could save time. You should note Both chests had the model number on the bottom, and while the number on one chest did not match the replacement number, the configuration of the hinges and hole positions matched that shown on the schematic for the correct It might be simpler to use your broken hinges as a guide if you plan to make this repair.
