A chest belt is included, as well as a mid-length belt for tall people like me. It's a section belt, or as some might call it, a hip belt, and it's well worth the money.
Yes, I can't think of any reason why it shouldn't be done.
I'm 5'6". It's comfortable, except that the straps rub against the top of my biceps when I wear it sleeveless. It's fine when I'm dressed in short sleeves or anything else.

It can hold a lot of beer for those long, boring hikes that my girlfriend enjoys. She made the decision to get in shape, while I went hiking. It has enough space for all of my snacks, cigarettes, marijuana, and nips. I'm happy because she is. This was an excellent purchase. Just kidding, I bought this for a friend who hasn't used it yet, but I'm sure he'll agree with my previous statement.
The bag turned out to be even better than I had hoped! My water stayed cold all day in the cooling pocket, and I had enough room for my shoes, jacket, water, and sunscreen. as well as a slew of other things Great space, strong stitching, and a material that is comfortable against my back. br>I've already forwarded the link to all of my friends in the hopes that they will purchase one. br>I am extremely pleased with my purchase!.
Despite going over the measurements in my head, I found the product to be slightly smaller than I had expected when I received it. I also considered returning it because it didn't seem to fit me well when I strapped the chest buckle on, and it felt like it was choking me. It didn't come with any instructions, which would have been extremely helpful; however, after inspecting it from there, I discovered that everything I was complaining about was easily adjustable; it was just difficult to see that it was. I was able to get it to fit comfortably and actually has pretty decent space for a day hike, the water bladder is exceptional it took some time to figure out how everything feeds through a couple of tips, feed the tube through the arm strap first, before threading it into the pouch, I thought the velcro loops inside the bag compartment, where to hold of the tube, but they are actually to hold the bag so it doesn't sag when it's filled with water, there are two sl This is a fantastic pack for the price, and I'm hoping it will serve me well for many years.
update: I've used this pack four times now, and the stitching hasn't yet come undone, but it will. It's frustrating because I always take good care of my belongings and never overfill my pockets. I finally gave in and purchased an Osprey Daylite Plus. WOW, this is a much higher-quality backpack. br>br>This is an excellent pack; I am pleased with it. This was my third choice before spending a lot of money on a well-known brand, which I didn't want to do. None of the descriptions seemed to adequately describe my reasons for spending that much money. I had already returned a Teton because the straps were too stiff for my frame and the chest strap would not tighten enough. I also returned a Rumpumpak because it was too small and I didn't like it. But here's the thing: PROS: br>br>
1. It's the perfect size for keys, an iPhone or GPS, extras, lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, toilet paper, and even a small jacket.
2. A reflective liner is used in the bladder compartment to keep the water cool for as long as possible.
3. I am a female, 5'1" 140 pounds, and the straps fit perfectly. On my back, the back does not sway or tug in any way.
4. My back sweated a little, but it was an 8-mile strenuous hike in the sun, with temperatures hovering around 95 degrees. Overall, it worked well; my shirt did not get soaked, and I did not feel uneasy.
Cons:
1. The bladder, of course! Who in their right mind would use a black or even green bladder? I'd like to inspect the interior to ensure that it is clean and free of floats. I donated it to Goodwill and replaced it with a Platypus (a brand I know I can rely on). Plus, I connected the hose to the bladder, and disconnecting it is WAY TOO DIFFICULT; life is too short. br>2. On the outside of the main pack, there are no attachment points. I fixed this by tying those 'gear ties' to the two side straps; they'll work fine if I want to attach my jacket or towel outside, and my trekking poles can go into the mesh pocket and be secured with a gear tie at the top. Everything is in place for me.
This bag is a fantastic size, and the'sharkmouth' openings are ideal for reaching inside. I was looking for a smaller bag, and this is ideal for a 5'4" slim teen to carry without the bulk of a traditional backpack. br>We needed a feeding pump backpack for our daughter while she was on an NG feeding tube, and I was able to easily modify this pack with a few straps. To hold her feed bag and ice pack, I added Velcro straps to the current bladder Velcro straps (on the inside). There was no kinking of the monitor's tube at the bottom. To keep the liquid cool, it has a thermo backing on the inside. The zipper and large'mouth' of the bag opened wide for easy access to all pockets and the feeding machine as needed. All of the feeding pump supplies, a couple of water bottles, meds, and our daughter's wallet fit easily into different pockets. br>Now that the feeding tube has been removed, our daughter is looking forward to using it as a hydration bag or a regular pack on outings.
You can cinch it down to the point where it's almost as small and light as the minimalist water-only packs. Alternatively, you can stuff the numerous pockets with all sorts of items to turn it into a daypack. I was able to fit two pairs of sunglasses, a large metal cup, a flask, granola bars, and a couple books in addition to the full water bag, and there was still room for more. The straps are nicely padded and the shoes are very comfortable. The hydration bag itself is quite nice—much nicer than the one that came with my Camelbak. A sleeve protects the tube, and the mouthpiece is covered with a cap. It also has an insulated water pouch. It kept my ice water cold all day in the desert, and I was blown away by the quality and versatility, especially for the price.
No bladder leaks, and it's a lot bigger than it appears! This backpack was purchased to accompany me on a road trip through Utah, which included visits to all five national parks. This bag was incredible - I loved it! the 2. The bladder pack for the 5L capacity did not leak once - If the water had been sitting there overnight, it would have had a slight plastic taste, but other than that, it was perfect! The bag is extremely compact - can fit everything you need for a day hike - snacks, an extra jacket, and so on. This was a very valuable bag.
