I'm completely smitten with this Camelbak! It isn't excessively large, but neither is it insignificant. It has enough room for me to store a lot of things. I've packed it to the brim for hiking, but I've also used it for biking with only a few essentials and a full hydration pack. It's extremely light and comfy. The new Crux is fantastic. Filling it is a breeze, and it is extremely safe! My friend has an Osprey, but she prefers my crux hydration because it is easier to fill and has a secure screw-on cap. Magic Camelbak, I took a photo of it next to its size down. The Magic is a little too small for me, and it's extremely difficult to stuff it back into the Magic once it's been filled to 2L. For me, LUXE was the ideal size. Please let me know if you find this information to be useful.
I purchased it for shorter hikes in the Los Angeles area (1-hour hikes). a maximum of 3 hours I already have a crux reservoir, which I adore! This is incredible. I work outside in the Texas heat all day every day and have no idea how I managed without one. I've started drinking a lot more water. I've never been able to take breaks before, and I don't eat lunch, so having this is a good idea. I just squirt some electrolyte drops into her and she's good to go with 100 ounces of water!.
The bladder had been shattered. You're having trouble finding a replacement? I really like the design and color of this, so I took a chance and bought it used, still in its original packaging. I'd be happier if the bladder hadn't broken the first time I used it and leaked all over my back. I attempted to contact customer service several times, but they are overburdened, and I have not received a response. On its own, the bladder is quite costly. Any money I saved by buying it used has now been spent on trying to replace something I already paid for. I'm hoping that someone will read this and assist me in obtaining a replacement! It's not a good idea to purchase it secondhand.
