Questions & Answers

It has a voice, but how can you hear it?

We are grateful for your interest, but this unit does not have voice features, so the Swami Voice Clip would not work

Are there any special controls to activate it during the round? Is it always on or do you have to touch it to get it going?

It is nice to hear from you regarding the Swami If you use the swami 6000, the light will remain on until the unit is turned

One of these was purchased by my husband on May 11, 2020, and today he told me it has stopped Do you have any ideas on how I can get help?

There might be a problem with mine if you play three rounds of golf. You need to reach Swami

A GPS system that is accurate
4/5

I'm very pleased with this product. The charging system on the new model is 100% better than on the previous model. In most instances, the yardage is right up against the front, middle, and back of the Despite being very reliable, this GPS is not easy to use. The only cons I could think of are that you need to wait until you are 60 yards from the previous hole before you can record your There is the possibility you will forget sometimes, which can be problematic. This GPS has everything else you could possibly ask for. The product is great and I would definitely recommend it.

I find it so much more accurate than my "shaky" rangefinder
5/5

At 69 years of age, I am not able to work. An avid golfer who has been playing for years. In an effort to increase my accuracy with distances I had to hit, I purchased a Laser Range Finder two years ago for $349. Everything was built into this thing, including the slope reader. When you buy one, they don't tell you what they don't tell you. It better be used with a steady hand, or at least you ought to be able to brace yourself against something when you do this! As a result, the cross-over does not take place As if a jack rabbit is bouncing around, the hairs do too! This was the most frustrating part of the experience. The name of this brand is great -- I am disappointed in your In any case, I purchased the IZZO Swami 6000. Take a moment to imagine A technology that does what it promises, at a cost of under It's only $1,000! I like this tool because it is easy to use, with 40,000 courses in its library, and it is magnetic so it fits on the frame of my golf cart. When I get to my ball, it tells me the distance to the front of the green. The middle of the road I'm going back and forth! Those were the only things I wanted out of it. It's sure I could keep my score on it, and I could even find out what hazards I may encounter on each hole, but I am playing courses I've already played dozens of times before, so all I need to know is "how far to home?". It's nice to see you doing so well, Izzo!.

I am very happy with my purchase
5/5

In order to replace a Garmin G6, which had stopped working, I purchased this unit. In reaching out to Garmin, I was told to send it back with $90 so that they could rebuild it for me. Therefore, when I saw this for $129, I grabbed it and have been enjoying it so far. Despite not having a lot of the features of my G6, the G6 has more than I need for my 14 handicap. During your round, you need to watch out for switching holes when you wander too far off the fairway, but for the price it's hard to You might think, if you are that far off the fairway, that it doesn't matter the difference of a couple of yards one way or another. A phenomenal battery life can be found with this device. The battery had only lost 50% of its charge after almost 12 hours of play.

As if the Izzo didn't exist
4/5

My reason for not giving 5 stars is because it jumps ahead when I get close to another hole and will not stay where I am no matter how many times The magnet is strong enough that it has never fallen off my cart even with a rain cover on the post. I like the fact that you switch to the plug-in charger from the magnet charger, as well as that I am able to play multiple rounds Having just finished my third Izzo, I have to say that I have been really pleased with Make more money than others by working as well as they do.

For the price, I can't do better than this GPS model
4/5

I bought it to replace my Garmin Approach G8 which I have had since it was released but the screen died and so I Swami 6000 is a great product and if I had not owned the G8, I would not have ever made the switch from using it. There's really only one thing I miss from the G8 now the hole maps. It makes my life much easier to play new courses all the time and to see the hole and green maps. Even so, there is one more feature I like even more about the Swami 6000 the magnetic back, which makes connecting the unit to the cart incredibly easy. Aside from that, the screen is very easy to read, has a very bright appearance, and there is My son's laser has allowed me to test yardages, and I've found that the closer I have gotten to the whole, the more accurate it is, with only about a yard or two difference when looking at the center pin. All things considered, the only thing I did not like was A drive a bit left put me in a different fairway and I switched from hole 7 to hole 16 after I hit a drive a bit left. In spite of selecting the right hole, the system continued to update and the number never updated accurately.

You're so good at I am so happy with this! Instead of spending $200+ on a good rangefinder, I chose to go with this one, and I am thrilled with my decision
5/5

It is possible for the GPS to be off by about an inch in the upstate SC area The third yard. (In comparison with the Callaway 300 pro and 18 Birdies app)** * ** ** Battery life is excellent after two rounds of golf (36 holes), I lost just one out of four bars There are two holes on which I noticed there were no water hazards. The hazards feature seems to be pretty accurate, but please note that two of them lacked water hazards. Those two creeks may have shared similar characteristics, so that may have been the reason? Some reviewers found the buttons to be a bit hard to press, but for me it was just fine. It does not accidently turn on when it is in a bag, and it does not accidentally turn on. 100% satisfied with the product.

I have had a lot of golf GPSs but this one is the best
5/5

It has one of the longest battery lives I've ever seen. The battery life of my phone was still 71% after playing two rounds of golf (36 holes) over two days. There is really no problem switching holes automatically, and the distance to hazards is at a great height. I am so much happier than my previous Swami unit as it was far superior to the one I had for many.

Distances are no problem with this device
4/5

Some other functions are a little tricky to use. The button has a "clumsy" feel to it I study anthropology. We provide distance readings down to the nearest yard or meter without A distance display has to catch up with movement after 3 seconds. Display font with large numbers is easy to read for older eyes with blurry vision. Press the button. The discipline of physics is a bit clunky. You need to scroll through various menus to perform various functions. you begin the game, you must use a start up menu that takes 30 seconds to locate the golf course. When I am standing, it does not automatically load the first tee. Choosing a course is a manual process. There's a manual selection process for choosing the hole numbers. The display moves to the next hole when I shoot beyond the putting green. The unit again moves to the next tee when I backtrack the hole. There is a tiny font on the golf course list. Several of these comments were posted within 48 hours of purchasing. Neither a comment nor a prediction can be made about battery life. There is no way to know how long this unit will live or how resistant it is to abuse. If I drop it for the first time, will it die? In comparison to other $99 GPS units, how does this unit fare? The difference will be apparent when I compare it with a friend's gizmo.
