It's my second golf buddy voice. I bought my first one several years ago. I have used it for more than 1000 rounds. Eventually, the battery wouldn't even hold a charge any longer. My hat clips onto this device, and I simply have to push a button to hear a female voice, whom I have named Wanda, tell me the distance. Easy to use, easy to understand, and not intrusive That is irritating. It takes no time at all to check distance, and we all know slow play is a death sentence for a sport. Seeing that it's on my hat so I won't lose it, there's no reason to fiddle with the scope. To make sure I didn't get wet, the original came with a rubber cover that I could wear when I was playing in the rain. I feel a little let down by the new one because that was not included.

Due to its higher price, I returned that item and bought another Golf Genius. There are a lot of things I love about it, from clipping it to my hat, pants or small golf bag in the cart. I love the fact that you can press a button to get information you need or you A yard or two doesn't make a huge difference for me since I'm not a very accurate golfer, which is why this is exactly what I was looking for.

My wife does as well. A kind golfer returned her lost one at the pro shop after she lost her last one on the course. She ran out and bought a new one and rushed out again. Apparently, it got hit by a golf cart and had some damage to its screen. It would only give yardage in audible form. I don't think there is any question that my wife enjoys It's a good life when you have a happy wife. Me, I have the Golf buddy Laser 1S and find it more convenient. With distance, the measurement becomes more accurate.

Since my particular GPS isn't loud enough, I have to take my hat off to the Golfbuddy, which is clipped on to show me hole numbers and distances. A reasonable price can be found here. The battery can be recharged with a recharging cord included. Using this battery, I was able to play two rounds of golf before recharging it.

The old GolfBuddy I had died after two years, and I thought that a new model would provide a better experience. However, it has the same issues it takes quite a while to find a satellite and the distance shot feature doesn't always work. Otherwise, it is a pretty decent product for the price.
