Having ordered the original Golf Buddy in 2016, this is the second I have ordered since then. As long as it had a battery, the first one worked well. I needed a new battery because replacing the old one was too complicated. A problem with this method seems to be that it doesn't work The courses that have been available for a very long time can take a very long time to appear on the satellite (if they are found at all). The speaker is situated on the back of the unit, which can lead to issues when the unit works. You can't hear it much if you clip it on your pocket, hat, or belt because the speaker is blocked and the volume does not turn loud enough.
My golfing wife loved this Golf Buddy bundle, so I gave it to her as a birthday gift. Her concern is having yardage numbers that are large enough for her to easily read them. There is also the option to listen to the audio. The seller was very helpful after receipt of the product and I had several questions. It is a product that I highly recommend.
