Questions & Answers

Can this Garmin GPS be submerged in water?

With a water rating of 5 ATM, the Approach S62 is suitable for most situations. Withstanding pressures equal to deep diving to 50 meters, it is resistant to the elements. Water splashes, rain or snow can be removed, and it is also suitable for showering, swimming and diving into water. The Approach Z80 has been your favorite for years. I appreciate your review and your experience with it. Email would be the best way to discuss this in more detail. Email us at [email protected] to let us know what your needs are. If this is a touchscreen watch, do you think a screen protector is necessary, even though it includes anti-scratch Why does it have a scratch ?

The glass screen protector I purchased was very helpful. This is a good

Do the wind direction arrows on the watch rotate according to where you are looking. ?

You can only find out the wind direction when paired with your phone (just keep it nearby in your bag or cart). Based on the weather, it shows the direction. You may not find it very useful in a place where there is a swirling wind. Overall, it is the best golf watch I have ever owned (and the best watch for every day use as well!).

A golf watch that is the best on the market - We recommend purchasing
5/5

A revised review is available! The Approach S6 has been upgraded to the Approach S8 The S60 has been skipped, and I'm on to this one. Prior to anything else, keep in mind that The watch is very nice to look at. An extremely large display can be relied upon to ensure that all details of a hole are visible. It has a brilliant backlight and is highly visible As you can see from the screenshot, it factors in current weather conditions and wind speed, and the slope will determine how far you'll be from the flag. For tournament play, this can be disabled. You can easily view distances to every hazard on the hole by clicking the + and - buttons A hole shot is when you are The yardage marker will allow you to place the flag for almost exact placement on the green. This is a fantastic tool for tracking shots. You're the one who's going to take the shot, you choose the club. Your round and club distances can be viewed on a 2D course map in the sky after you play the round. If you buy club tracking set CT10, you can automatically track your clubs. In the first five rounds, it learns pretty well what you are doing, so the caddie can recommend clubs based on your past game. I've been using the Swing tempo training aid for several years now, just as it did when I had The HR sensor, running, and biking are included in the package. Batteries last a long time because of the design When golf GPS is on, it offers up to 20 hours of use, while without it, it lasts up to 14 days. The S6 as well as the S60 both pale in comparison to this. The Garmin App is the only way to update your device, therefore no PC is necessary as updates are done exclusively through the Garmin App. The following update was posted on Tuesday, February 25 The Garmin Golf app can be used to upload photos after a round when shot tracking was used. This is amazing. It would be even better if I could add a second star.

Watches of the highest quality
5/5

There's no need to worry about anything with this watch. The fact that it tracks every shot I take is great. With every shot I take, I'm able to pinpoint the exact location, distance, and direction. connect Garmin Connect to view metrics related to the round, club distances, club direction, and many other features. As an example, at my local course, I came up short 54% of the time at the 9th hole since it is an uphill hole. I also was not taking enough club to reach the green. Additionally, it has "plays like" feature, which shows the distance to the pin adjusted for factors like slope, wind, etc. This feature is handy for quickly determining how far the hazards are, and what the distance to them might be. There is one thing I dislike about this app it has a tendency to be a bit clunky to locate an exact location on the map using your finger. Just a few seconds to slide the target to the desired position. Here are a few cool non-musical things There are multiple golf features you can choose from - A weather report*- . Wind direction - . Wind speed - I look forward to sunrises and sunsets - *Heart rate in beats per minute* The Pulse Oxidation System - The steps are For free, you can also download different watch faces, widgets, and apps from Garmin.

This is the best golf watch we have ever seen
5/5

With the S60 and the S40 merged, Garmin has long wanted to offer the features of each. With the best of everything, you can now enjoy it all. With this watch, you get "play like" distances, a battery life that matters, and a hazards list that is easy to navigate. If this is important to you (as it was to me), then get the Since I have been wearing the s60 for over two years, I have stayed with it because it plays like it should. As a golfer I must take elevation into account when I play, but the cursor feature of this watch is poorly implemented, requires too many button presses, and makes finding distances to reach and clearing hazards extremely difficult. The majority of my life was relatively happy, however I never stopped wanting During my golf trips, I had to turn it off at the end of 18 while having lunch, and I believe it lasted another 18 or so. I did not. I'll write about the S62 in the following paragraphs. ***FACE ***FACE Larger by a thin margin. It seems like the S60 has 17 percent more face area than the s60, which is good because when trying to view the hole view the S60 seemed really small. What is the size difference between the S62 and the S62? It may be marginally clearer and readable in the sun, but the real benefit here is that it is also more readable. It is actually easier and more pleasant to read this screen when the light is direct. Hands down, it's a winner. I'm so happy with it. I got my free Rolex blue face (the poor man's Rolex) before downloading this. great when combined with a watch, and I could customize the information it gave me on its display (heart rate and percentage of battery left). Batteries last about two to three days. On its own, this would be an almost compelling reason to purchase the watch. insane. Where I only got one and a half rounds on a full charge on the S60, this watch gives me at least three full rounds. There are no better words to describe it. (Plus drive time in watch mode) I think it's about 25 percent for every 18 hours. It was about 25 percent charged when I put it back on the charger, but it probably could go one more round. LOCATE SATS AT THE RIGHT TIME The quality of life is definitely better here, Regardless of the fact that I never had any problems waiting for the S60 to find them, this is noticeably faster. The first time I had it, I didn't realize what it was like to find it so fast. A return to that place would be a nightmare for me. -PLAYS LIKE -PLAYS LIKE Could things get any better than they already are? Yes, I would say that. The Garmin Golf app (while in the cart) will tell you when there is wind on this watch when you have the golf app open. It is important to know the speed and direction. While I don't know whether Plays Like takes into account wind or not, I use my human brain to determine that the wind is blowing at 10 mph off to the left. A HAZARD LIST IS AS FOLLOWS It still seems to me that the s40, which my buddy owns, is a better phone. On that one there is a straight list of hazards, and you proceed I was disappointed in the s60 because it had no squat. I had a hard time reach the water due to the distance. I am taking the s62 over the s63. In the face itself, you have these interactive buttons that allow you to cycle between your hazards. If you touch the map near your hazard, it will usually default to the nearest bunker, and then there will be arrow buttons that appear and you can cycle through them. What are the results of the experiment? It is true. What's the difference between S60 and this one? There's no question about it. Though it seems a little strange, it seems to work. I am trying to define "distance to rough" on my 11th hole after the bunker. Does it find the water there? The distance from the corner (front) and the distance to the The following are other things to consider The watch does a much better job of detecting my position, as it knows I am starting on the 10th hold (my course displays COVID distances better than my old watch) and it finds me much better than my old watch. This is the better choice for me. There are times when it is more difficult to move it up or down to different holes than before, where all the user had to do was swipe up or down. From what I can tell, the s62 must be linked to an Easy Hold menu (easy enough to find), then you cycle the number pad. There is no problem. I don't think it concerns you. If you didn't have the S60 or S40, you wouldn't notice it. Even if you did, it takes some getting used to, but you're not going to have to do it very often, so it's not a big deal. The following values of pulse 02 and heart rate are displayed It goes boom. I think this is a great idea. Heart rate always available (just hit the back button and look at my watch face complication) is a nice addition (if only I could figure out why it's 20 beats higher than my watch). What is the latest pulse? The timing is good, too. When you swipe up to access the widgets, you will start a reading (similar to Apple Watch's ECG feature), then stand still for a half minute to a minute, and you will have the reading. I'm glad there is this option. CONNECT/GOLF APP for Garmin The Golf App feature on strokes gained (drive, approach, chipping) is an interesting feature, as are the stats for each course. I don't understand why they separate the two, but I like the course statistics for each course. It's done without inputting anything at all! I find it kind of cool to know that I hit 67 percent of fairways - More than 80 yards shorter than Bryson DeChambeau, but just as good. I'd like to know what's WRONG Except for the price, it's quite decent. Given that you're also getting an incredible amount of other health data (which I don't used much with it), it's not so bad. As a matter of fact, I think it's A robot-driven secondary market exists for the s60 on auction sites, and I got $200 for mine. So the price on the s62 came down to a point where it made sense, as it would probably need replaced again in two years. In the past four years, I have owned about four different Garmin golf watches. This watch offers the best features of any available watch at the moment, especially if you prefer the watch over other devices like phones or lasers. The price tag on the Tag Heuer watch isn't as high as 1500 dollars. While Skycaddie has a contender (with a free 2 or 3 year subscription thrown in), it is largely vaperware at the moment. My recommendation for the serious golfer who also wants features such as steps, stairs, flights and heart rate is a highly recommended one.

It was disappointing
3/5

It does an acceptable job, but you will have to fiddle with it the entire time you're playing. I have to use the go to hole function to return to the hole I am playing after the game flips off. After you putt out, you might want to save your score before you walk off the green. Otherwise, the "save" selection is gone, and you'll have to enter your score on the scorecard. A few rounds have also been lost because the watch restarted before the game started and I have two saved scorecards with no scores. Unfortunately you are unable to delete them. This is due to an app issue. My app also does not allow me to record a score when I did not use the watch during a round. In addition, it does a poor job of determining distance from the target. The first time I tee off, if I go to my players shot first and then my shot, the distance is calculated from my players shot, not mine. If I go directly to my shot without that "added stop" it gives me an accurate distance to my shot. A quick update I cannot believe how bad this watch has gotten! The watch gets "stuck" on a hole, so we've been unable to move it for the last three rounds. These events not only took place on three different courses, but on the same course. To unstick it, I've found that you need to end the round, discard it, and restart. You then have to go into the scoring feature and reenter the scores. You lose the shot history for the holes you've already played, plus you need to enter the scores for the holes you've already played.
