It only took me about 40 minutes to load, tie down, and transport a single board on the first try. This was shorter than I had expected while I got accustomed to it, but was still faster than I expected. Tie downs proved to be difficult to tighten in the end. I finally felt confident in the security of the board on the car (no slack lines etc. ) and left. However, my boards seemed to be shifting quite a bit, so I had to stop (very nervously) four times to check them throughout my 35 minute drive. My tie down process has been reduced from about 20 steps to about 15 in the last dozen times I've used it Even though I recognize the appeal of a safe and more cost-effective alternative to a roof rack - the time spent loading and unloading load and wear and tear on my vehicle - I didn't consider the savings worth the effort (especially after nearly losing my.
I find this thing to be rubbish! As the kayak bounced off my roof, my vehicle was damaged as the foam flew off and landed on my car. While I was playing frogger on the highway to get the foam back, I was in danger of losing my life. Please DO NOT buy this product! Invest in a roof rack!.
I tried using it for the first time, and it broke. The strip that broke in half midway through the process broke in half midway through. Everything was done according to plan. I am extremely.
The straps are easy to set up to the correct length and they slip right on once you've determined the length.
I was so looking forward to using this product, and it came a day earlier than expected. Once the season was over, the package came with a bag to store it in when no longer needed. Even though I found the directions to be confusing, I still managed to walk through it. My kayak shifted a bit about 10 minutes down the road, and now my windshield was hitting the kayak every time I When I could only have one person on the road, I pulled over to fix it. After turning on my hazards, I drove the rest of the way home at around 30mph. There is no doubt that ratchet straps are more secure, easier to tighten, and easier to use. My money was wasted and I am upset about it.
It is a Pescador pro 120, and I have a Ford Escape with a roof rack from the factory. I can't fit the foam blocks on my crossbars, but they are too narrow for my boat anyway. I also find the straps to be flimsy.
Although the straps are just ok for quality, they are longer than the rest of the product. The majority of the time, I think I will keep them, but I wouldn't recommend them without first telling the people who recommended them.
As a Hyundai Accent owner, I have a couple of questions. Whether I travel by kayak or paddle board, this provides me with access to where I want to go without concern about wind. What to do and how to do it.
