For softball, I don't use this. It's what I use to do myofacial release exercises with. It's fantastic in terms of the exercises. It's the perfect size and firmness.
I bought it to work out muscle knots, and it's fantastic.
My daughter is 12U, and we've hit over 300 balls so far. There are no rips in the seams, and we're hitting into a net on a smooth cement floor in the basement. So far, there have been no problems, and my daughter enjoys them. When the set arrives, they are all individually packaged. We also purchased the Rawlings Fastpitch NCAA training RIF from Dicks, and there isn't much of a difference in terms of practice, and they were delivered on time.
This is a fantastic product; I use it for my back, as recommended by my chiropractor, and it works wonders! Who'd have guessed that a soft ball could help my chronic back pain?.
Making a new glove out of it. The ball has a crease from the packaging, and the synthetic material it's made of isn't particularly comfortable. When it first hit the dirt at the field where I was throwing it, the material ripped a little (about the size of a dime). I think the ball is fine, just not great, since it's only for playing catch with and shaping a new glove.
This is what I use to massage my calves' myofascial trigger points.
You should expect to spend a few minutes removing the shrink-wrap. wrap each ball in a different way!.
