This type of sock goes all the way up to my knee, which is exactly what I wanted. It's very cool to see my number on the back of the shirt and I like the purple color. Although I have not played a game in them yet, I find the calf a bit tight when I try them on. A quick update In my review, I have reduced the star rating from four to two. This is a very tight-fitting pair of socks made of stiff material. It's going to take a lot of work to get them. Moreover, once they are sweaty, they are very difficult to remove. It seems that the material on the sides of the heels is buckling after wearing and washing several times. It is too bad that I will not be able to wear these socks anymore.

I bought this for my 6-year-old My 7-year-old son wore it at his older sister's soccer games, and I used it for a football game as well I love them. Clearly visible numbers on each sock, a snug fit, and a much better fit than I would have expected Hold on to your hat (don't quit). It appears that he's worn them at least 25 times (over 25 games) and they still fit perfectly and haven't I'll be purchasing more in the future.
