Is it possible to wash these in the washing machine?

Hand-washing with a gentle soap is preferable. However, YES, you can put them in the washing machine. The Velcro should be avoided if at all possible. It enjoys attacking anything that isn't attached to it. Another reason to wash and rinse it in the sink quickly.

I bought the first set last year because I was tired of looking like I was wearing jodhpurs whenever I put on my rubber boots

They work well and last a long time. I've used them every day for years and they're still going strong, elastic, and in good shape. I can't say enough good things about them for keeping your pants cuffs in place. I've even stepped in water that was far too deep for my boots, soaking these bands completely, and they're still going strong. br>br>I ordered the second set after seeing a product for securing a fishing weight to the rod handle that was about the same price but didn't seem to be anywhere near as good in quality, and only came with one band; I got home, tried one of these Caddis Pant Leg Keepers, and Eureka! So the old ones are now in my tackle box, and I'm using the new ones on a daily basis. br>br>It's not often that you come across a product that is both high-quality and simple enough to be used for anything you can think of. br>br>I highly recommend these things if you want to keep your pants cuffs in place while riding a bike or wearing rubber boots, or if you want to keep a dropshot rig secured to your fishing pole, or for any other reason you can think of.

Well-made and straightforward. It's simple and effective. The material gets clogged up with silt and sand from time to time, but it washes out quickly.

I bought them to keep my pants from getting caught in my boots, and they work perfectly. If not handled with this in mind, they will Velcro onto themselves in the wrong place.
