I've only had this brace for a week, but I'm impressed with how well it keeps my forearms in place, which has always been a problem for me. Braces that were previously worn slid down all the time. This is largely due to the stretchy but substantial material of the brace, which I believe helps it stay in place. This is the first time I've seen this type of material used in a brace. It's simple to adjust to your desired pressure. Because the pressure beads have a small surface area, it's important to make sure they're placed correctly, but once they're in place, they feel good, aren't intrusive, and are easy to forget about, especially because they stay in place. If you're looking for a wider band, this one isn't for you. It's only about 1 1/4 inch wide. I'll post an addendum if it falls apart in a couple of weeks, but for now, it's working for me, and my chronic tennis elbow is under control.
I hurt my arm while bowling, and it felt like it was dangling from my arm, and I couldn't even lift my ball up to throw it. I assumed I had done something bad, such as strained or torn my ucl. I did some internet research and discovered that I have tennis elbow. I used this band support for bowling and was able to bowl painlessly through all three games in my league. In that last game, my arm started to feel a little weak, but I don't think I would have been able to finish the night if it wasn't for the band support. This kind of assistance is extremely beneficial. My only complaint is that because the material isn't smooth, it began to irritate my skin. It has a velcro-like feel to it. I believe they should use a felt material or something similar to improve the feel. If you're suffering from tennis elbow, this arm support is a must-have.
This is a perfect fit for my small forearm. It could be a little smaller, but it accomplishes the task at hand, so I'm satisfied.
Because of its thinness and low profile, it appealed to me; however, if you adjust it too tightly, it may cut off circulation. A slightly wider width, I believe, would solve that minor problem. It appears to be well-made and of good quality, so I'll keep using it for the time being and see how it performs in the long run.
I've tried a lot of different braces and none of them have worked for me. They never work because they are either too wide or too bulky. I came across Braceability and decided to give it another go. I'm so glad I took the chance. The strap is light and comfortable, and the width is just right; you won't even notice you're wearing it. My arm isn't as achy as it used to be throughout the day. I would strongly suggest it.
I used it in a slightly different way than it was intended. My triceps at the shoulder connection are causing me pain. I tie the strap around that tendon to apply pressure. It is largely effective.
When used correctly, it can provide significant relief. To prevent skin irritation, I rounded the sharp edges of the hook side backing. It might be more comfortable if the stiff rod had some flexibility so that pressure could be distributed more evenly.
It hurts and is extremely stiff. It didn't stretch very far, but perhaps it would with time? I wish I had the option to return it because it is ineffective for me.
