Despite the fact that it was not a top-of-the-line item, it arrived quickly. I jumped on this one because there aren't many elbow pads for bursitis on the market. It fits well, but it's not comfortable if you move your arm or elbow a lot (or at all). It severely restricts mobility and is extremely inconvenient. The velcro buckles bind up in the bend of the elbow to keep the padded area in place. It has to be quite tight in order for it to stay in place, which makes it more uncomfortable. To summarize, I use a $5 elastic padded brace that I purchased from a local pharmacy.
This brace works like a charm. My bursitis did not improve after a week of wearing a plain compression sleeve. My bursitis has reduced in size by 75% since I put this thing on for 3 days. This purchase has made me extremely happy.
The Bursitis Elbow Brace is a high-quality product with a sturdy canvas, effective elbow pad placement, and velour bands that grip. It works wonders for compressing the swollen bursa bulge. I'm hoping it will help to reduce the length of time the bursa swollen bulge lasts. It's a lot better than wrestling with an Ace bandage wrap that needs to be rewrapped around the protruding bursa bulge all the time.
My elbow was inflamed due to an enlarged bursa, but after wearing this cushioned brace (and icing it), it was back to normal. It's simple to put on and take off the brace.
Because my elbow was so big and I kept slamming it against things, it provided excellent protection. It has persuaded me. Yes, it pinches a little if you bend your arm too far, but the manufacturer could correct this by slightly offsetting the buckles. It would be ideal if you could do that.
My left arm is swollen due to bursitis. These are extremely effective at relieving stress. The only thing that can be irritating is when it pinches around the upper arm area. To help with the pain, I use a small compression wrap. Overall, it's well-made, meets my requirements, and I'd recommend it to anyone suffering from elbow pain.
I had an elbow sleeve that was too tight and uncomfortable to wear. I decided to give it a try because it was padded at the elbow, had velcro straps that made it easier to put on and take off (unlike a sleeve), and stated that it was for bursitis. I had been suffering from bursitis for several weeks prior to using this brace, and I was not optimistic. My bursitis was gone after about a week of wearing it almost all day but not sleeping with it on! Needless to say, I'm sold on this product! The only drawback is that you have limited mobility when bending your arm when it's on, but that's a small price to pay. if your bursitis is healed.
This device provides adequate protection for a swollen elbow, but it is too large and stiff to be worn under a shirt sleeve or to perform any work. I couldn't find a way to adjust the straps without causing some shifting and discomfort while wearing them. Should be fine if the elbow is to be immobilized for long periods of time, but it becomes uncomfortable after a while if you do a lot of activity.
