It's a great deal because it's both light and portable

They were under $40 when I got them. Shoulder pads for less than that are hard to come by. I wanted something light and airy, so this was perfect. I'm used to only using liners in my games. It's not quite as unrestricted as those, but it's a good alternative, and the upper arm pad is very easy to put on and take off if you're okay with less padding (as I am).
