I'd estimate it to be small to medium in size. My son started in XS when he was seven years old, and now he is almost ten years old and wears a small, despite the fact that he is slightly larger at 75 pounds. He tried on a medium and found it to be a little too big (it didn't sit properly on his shoulders). You can adjust the chest part (to make it wider or narrower), but you can't do too much to keep it from sliding off your shoulders.

They are fantastic. After my son outgrew his previous set of lacrosse pads, I purchased these for him, and they are far superior! These pads provide far more coverage than any other we've tried, while maintaining his range of motion. They're light and well-fitting for his body type. I'll admit that he likes how they look.
